I don't care about "S-ranking" levels or completing challenges, but this game makes it addicting and gives a replayability that makes it addicting. Add on a really great story and weirdly memorable characters that you only experience through audio, and you have one of the greatest games of the year on your hands. Buy this full price.

This is unfortunately just not the game it was. It almost feels unfair to compare 2024 DBD to 2019 DBD but that's what I have to do as this game is basically alone in the asymmetric multiplayer genre, meaning there is literally nothing else to compare it to.

Dead By Daylight excelled when everything was overpowered. Might be a controversial take, but back in 2018-2021 almost every Survivor AND Killer perk was ridiculously good. Maybe this could be seen as an issue because it introduces too much variability to each game but... is that really an issue? Don't you WANT each match to be different? I feel where Behaviour has failed as a developer is that they cowtowed to community pressure and decided to enforce metas via inane patches and constant content updates.

Of course no one is complaining about getting all these new killers and survivors, but does it all really mean much when there's now only 6 Survivor perks with any viability? There's no sense of progression for being a Survivor anymore because there's no reason to even check Shrine of Secrets anymore. Maybe I have rose tinted glasses and old DBD had just as many issues with a "meta", but I truly do feel that this game excels when Survivors actually feel like they have a chance and aren't forced into carrying the same 4 perks every game.

Killers have built-in variety because they each have unique abilities and different movement speeds, etc. Survivors are all the same. Even though that's always more-or-less been the case, it's especially true, now.

I don't know, I'm probably just nostalgic. Get the game on sale and don't buy the DLCs unless you're a Killer-main.

I don't care about the microtransaction drama whatsoever.
What I do care about, however, is a game releasing in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ buggy state that makes it nearly impossible to just play. It freezes every 5-10 minutes once you get past the initial section of the game, it runs at like 20fps in towns despite running the game on an extremely high-end PC with a 4070 Ti, and it is chalk full of unfair bugs and hostile game design that ♥♥♥♥♥ you over thanks to the nonexistence of load states.
It really is such a shame because this game is genuinely very fun when it works, but that is all to uncommon of an experience. Wait until a couple updates and some fixes come through, and even then wait until a sale because the current state of this game is just pathetically unfortunate.

Starfield is the blandest and most mind numbing experience that Bethesda has released in the 2000s. The game design is more outdated than Morrowind, the writing is genuinely terrible, and the gameplay loop is an absolute boring slog.

This is not a space game. This is a linear RPG set around a space backdrop, and that is important to understand if you consider playing this game.

Ignoring broken promises and blatantly false advertising, Starfield is unfortunately just a bad game. This one is not worth your time, trust me. Go pick up Cyberpunk 2077’s new Phantom Liberty DLC, instead. You will thank me.

I've never played a game that doesn't have any answers online about how to complete certain quests. This game is so special that it makes me feel like I'm the first to discover something. Baldur's Gate 3 does the impossible: it makes me feel like I'm actually playing D&D.

Maybe it's recency bias and maybe I'm just relishing in the afterglow, but I'm at the point right now where I believe that this is the best video game ever made.

I never feel like I'm doing busy work and every quest feels fully realized and is genuinely just FUN to do. Do you understand how rare that is, especially in a mostly open-world game?

I'm not even done with my first playthrough and I've already started a Dark Urge run just to see how different it could actually be. I also took a different path entirely through Act 1, and I cannot believe how much different my experience has been. It truly is a different campaign than when I ran through Act 1 originally, and it blows my mind how it's even possible that Larian gave me the ability to do that.

I'm just floored by the amount of detail and devotion that was put into Baldur's Gate 3. This is truly a triumph of medium and puts every other modern developer to shame. Great work, Larian, great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.

I've played 60 hours of this game on another storefront, and my God they've really brought it to the point where it's so close to being what they originally promised. I genuinely believe this is one of the best games out there today. There's so many different ways to play this game and so much replay value because of it. If you've been waiting to pick this one up, do it before the new expansion comes out. I strongly recommend it.

Early Access Review
This game is not perfect, not even close.

But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... Shadows of Doubt is the best detective sim that has released in years, maybe ever.

The procedural generation and how it affects the cases and world is incomprehensibly impressive, I can't even begin to imagine how exactly that works. This game, as far as I can tell, was developed by like one guy and reaches all the heights it attempts to soar to.

This is very much an Early Access game, so expect bugs and performance issues. However, it is absolutely worth those issues because its highest highs far eclipse its lowest lows.

Get this game at full price and support the developer so that this game can just get better and better.

This is a well-made port, I've waited a decade to play this game (never had a PS4) and I'm so happy to experience such a fantastic story in such a beautifully presented way. The graphics are fantastic, the gameplay is seamless, and I am very satisfied. I don't understand why the shaders take half an hour to compile, but you only have to do it on initial boot-up, so it's not a huge deal, in my opinion.

LOOK. AT. THE. RECOMMENDED. SPECS.
WAIT. FOR. SHADERS. TO. BUILD.

This game is being review bombed by people who don't wait for shaders to compile, have a low-end PC and are ignorant about it, are playing it on a HDD, or their PC is bottlenecked to all hell.

If you are considering playing this port, I recommend you completely ignore the reviews, and instead make sure that your PC isn't absolute ass before you decide to buy this. Be an intelligent consumer, don't rush into getting this if you don't know if you'll actually be able to run it.
