So this is my review after 70 hours and hitting level 22 and getting my first level 3 trader.

If you do not wish to be frustrated at times where it is not your fault to lose hours worth of farm, do not play this game currently. Let it bake for 6 months to a year.

Let's get to the important parts first, the issues.
Many of the complaints people have are valid, I have had friends with good rigs experience loads of crashes. I believe some of this may have already been identified by the Developers and which CPU's are causing issues currently, but this was a major problem for my friend who experienced this issue, making the game go from a fun game, to an unplayable experience.

If your rig isn't beefy or somewhat up to date within the last couple of generations, you may struggle to reach 25 frames currently. While this isn't a huge issue as this game was noted to being 20% complete and optimization comes in the later stages of a games development, it can be a game killer to those who do not expect this or do not head this warning well. It is to note, I have a friend who averages 25 frames on a 1070TI and is having a blast on this game, somehow..

Servers Suck. Yes it's Early Access, yes I understand the server software may not be there, but we shouldn't lie to ourselves, not only do servers crash (Which thankfully will just send you back to base with your stuff) but rubber-banding and AI issues persist through most servers. You can 100% hop around until you find a stable server, sometimes it's the next, other times it's on another Server node. But when you're in a zone and the server begins to lag but does not crash, it can make the game go from a fun experience to extremely stressful attempting to get out of the area if you are not mentally prepared to lose your kit to something that wouldn't have been all your fault.

Ammo is inconsistent. There is a wonderful chart by AstroPolski that will solve all of these issues as a player though. Yes it will not be traditional, yes some ammo types are broken, but if you do the research into this chart, it will at least make the games ammo make sense to you. I believe there will be large reworks on the ammo system as things such as 12 Gauge, 9mm, 7.65 Browning, and most of the 7.62x39 seems to be incorrect to what the ammo represents. 5.56 is always a sure-shot though so long as you avoid SP.

Scopes. Oh lordy do scopes bring your frames down, this goes along with optimization but if you plan on playing long-ranged gameplay, ensure you have a good PC.

Helicopter wait times. The dev's have stated they are aware and looking into possible solutions. This one can get you pretty pissed off at times. If you want to go somewhere or go home you have to be pretty attentive to the map waiting and hoping you can call in a heli before someone else. On top of that the wait times can be atrocious for them to pick you up. This isn't an ever-present thing but when it pops up it really can suck. Expect on bad times to wait 15 minutes.

Now for the good.
This game is not Tarkov, this is not a Tarkov killer, this is something different. You can find yourself dropping from LZ to LZ for hours on end questing or combating NPC's and Players alike. It itches that extraction shooter grind that many of you have come here to get, the world may not be as immersive as it could be, but with the roadmap it seems it will fufill that experience.

I have never experienced a community like this in an extraction shooter, the amount of teamwork and kind people you will meet on the ground is unreal. My first few games I went in the PvPvE Warfare mode only to meet three enemies at YBL when I hopped an allies shopper there. Those three enemies and I had a nice chat in the bunker only to say our farewells, only to have my ally shoot me for what he called **Treason**. The experience of dying to an ally albeit can be irritating, in the goodwill of the moment it was hilarious and he knew I didn't have a kit on me, I was just running around having a blast naked. I've crashed and in anger loaded back into the lobby ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it, only to have some random dude drag me to the side and drop me 10K to re-kit. The people here actually talk with eachother is what I'm trying to get at. Yes there will be a toxic person here and there, but overall the vibe is good.

Teamwork with your friends is unreal, one moment you're in a Discord channel chatting with your friends about whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then you take incoming fire or approach an NPC nest and it's game on. As the heat of the battle rages on and begins to die out, that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ conversation comes back with the group. Sometimes one or two of you have dropped and needs to fly back, it's alright cause your buds are guarding your body for you! This game does a wonderful job at rewarding teamwork and giving enough breaks in between to not be a fully serious on edge game at all times you are in-map.

So ya, I recommend this game. But only if you believe you can get over the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that comes with early-access that I mentioned above. The experience will differ from everyone, I didn't have to many major game breaking issues but I know of people who have, try it out in those 2 hours and see if it's playable and make a decision there if you're on the fence! If you can't justify buying it in it's current state, wait for it to cook!
