I usually dont like survival Games.
But this hits diffrent.
It lets me do what Monster Rancher does not. I can actually let my Monsters work.
It lets me do what Pokemon does not. Realtime Battles and being a bit more edgy than kid friendly, sanitized Pokemon allows.

The World is Huge and fun to explore.

Not gonna lie, I fell a bit in Love with some of the Pal Designs and the overall Gameplay Loop.
Manage Base, Stock up, head out, catch Pals, Return, replace older Pals with newer, better onces, repeat.

13 Hours in and still only been in around 35% of the map.

First of all.

Don"t listen to all those old and wrinkly ASCII Purists in this Review Section. It seems they just want the same old Dwarf Fortress you can download on Bay 12 Games for free here on Steam. Without any changes. Which is kinda strange because this was never advertised at all.

This is a perfectly fine modernization of a game that was previously almost totally inaccessible to newcomers.

It runs well. It looks awesome, and it does a great job simplifying some of the more obscure Aspects of Dwarf Fortress like Rooms, Jobs and Military.

I only spent a little shy of 2 Hours on the Game yet, because I was tired from work, but what I could see was great.
A lot of very welcome additions.

You can play the entire Game with Mouse Controlls.
The UI does what it needs to do and tries not to be to complicated.

The only nitpick I have is the way notifications are handled. That"s something I like more in the Original.
But besides that, I can recommend this greatly to anyone who wants to get into this amazing Game.

A Game like this seems to only come every 5 Years or so.
Something that feels Fresh. Something with nice Worldbuilding. Something with Outstanding Enviromental Design. Something with an Outstanding Soundtrack.

STRAY brings all of these Things. Together with one of the Cutest Game Chars ever.

The Game can be described as an Open Area Exploration Game with Linear Action-Puzzle Levels mixed in between.
It knows when to be fast and intense. It knows when to quite down and let the World soak in.

Overall Great. One of my new all Time Favorites.

I don"t write reviews often, but this little 3€ Title gave me more worth than any 60€ AAA Titles in the last 5 Years.

The Game runs great on the Steam Deck, and it"s perfect for a quick play in Breaks or on the Go.

The Battle System is engaging and fun and the replay value, even though Scenarios start to repeat very fast, is high because you can try out many approaches to your Build. The Quest to build a One-Shot OMEGA Samurai is really fun.

Loosing an almost certainly winning run to an Oni right before the last boss because you got cocky is even more FUN.

Its like FLT. But with Samurais.

So viel Spaß hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr.
Fahrzeuge die durch Wände und Zäune fahren. Einsatzkräfte die in Depressionen versinken und sich nicht mehr bewegen wollen. Löschfahrzeuge die gerne Gebäude brennen sehen und nicht helfen ohne das man sie drauf hin weist.

Best Game.

Nach Stundenlangen suchen und probieren geb ich es auf.

Ich will das spiel wirklich mögen. Sehr sogar. Aber mit dieser Framerate unmöglich.

Selbst mit einem 8x4GHz AMD Prozessor und einer R9 280X die selbst auch noch übertaktet ist bekomm ich keine stabile Framerate.
Ich bin mir sicher das dieses Game ein Super Gameplay hat aber ich kann es nicht empfehlen. Es zerstört einfach total den Spielspaß wenn man Zeitweise mit 15-10 FPS Spielen muss nur weil das Spiel entscheidet in voll-derp Modus zu gehen.

Hätte mir ein wenig mehr Optimierung erwartet. Bin echt entäuscht.

The AI has greatly improved! It keeps getting better and better :3

This is surely a greate game. But theres a lot to be done.
Especialy the AI. Workers commit suicide in Space while Constructing, Barkeeper and other People standing and Waiting for food to Death while thers no other Barkeeper available.

Also. There isnt much to do at this Moment. Afte a few hours i explored everything there is. But i am sure this is Going to be a Greate Game and a instant Classic
