Fantastic so far, Larian has made another exceptional RPG in a genre that has become flooded with open world time wasters (playing Mass Effect: Andromeda before BG3 made this incredibly apparent). Ranking up your character and party feels both more meaningful, and streamlined. Combat can be frustrating when dice rolls go against you, but such is life.

I'd also like to highlight the quality of side-quests. Every time I go off the main quest path to an unexplored area there's something interesting to find or unearth that starts off another satisfying quest chain.

Hopefully the industry at large start paying attention to Larian's best practices around crunch, early access, and generally setting up their dev teams for success.
