ArmA 3 is a versatile game, a great jankfest. The base-game is entirely fine on it's own two legs. ArmA has a campaign, which while janky at times (it can be broken due to the nature of the game) is stellar. It manages to educate you on the basics of the game.

But the true gem of ArmA lies in the modding scene, and the operations. They've added revolutionary new features such as:
Jumping, turning on your safety, radio interference, a million different guns, food system, the ability to carry boxes (though in a janky way), women and a stupidly complex medical system.

While ArmA on it's own simulates wind speed and air density and every little detail which has a factor on ballistics, the community has added so much that ArmA now can be played as anything from a janky zombie survival game, to a full military simulator with different units co-ordinating and doing different roles.

The best thing, though. That's the ability to spend 4 hours driving a truck carrying imaginary guns to people, only to slightly overcompensate in a turn and hit a tree pulverizing your leg.
