Can't play Aeternum with base game. I will not be dishing out more cash to play this ever again...

Man this was pretty bad but now made even worse with Crapcoms recent decision to block modding from their titles.....

Man I'm so glad I held out on getting that Ada DLC now. Can't believe I would ever call the PC version of a game the worst version. The new ant-mod DRM that is sure to come ruins the only reason to get any Crapcom game on PC. Goodbye to better performance and being able to mod in cool skins. Hell, game might even run better on my PS5 now.....

It truly is an enigma as to why these new DRM decisions were made. I bought this game on console before I had a PC that could run it. I love it so much that I wanted to experience it again here when I finally got the money to buy a decent machine. Now the only reason I bought the game again is being taken away and that really sucks.

Please help me explain why mods for an older single player game like this are a bad thing? Is it because the modders offer better skins than Crapcom is willing to make for free? I feel like this is a bad decision and I hope and pray it is reversed!

Now all of you kids can experience one of the greatest games ever made for FREE!. I bought this over 18 years ago in a bargain bin at a Menards hardware store. Also picked up Interstate '82 at the same time! The ancient times with bad dial-up internet. Times were simpler then, and gaming was too. HL1 STILL holds up till this day! Was excited to try the 2.0 but after everything I have read I won't even bother ever booting it up again.....

After deciding to critique the game based on my own gameplay of the patch, my views on the game are the same. I can appreciate the slower paced mechanics now but it feels like a step backwards from what they were going for before. As someone who has not clocked in more than 12 hours in the game I can understand long time players frustration with the new gameplay.

Now it feels more like a poor mans Diablo 2 than it's own thing. On top of having ridiculous monetization practices I only see in shoddy mobile games. It only makes me wonder why this could not have been it's own separate game mode instead of pissing off so many of your loyal fanbase with these radical changes!

Fantastic presentation here! Never thought I would put 15 hours into a game I payed less than a dollar for. Looking forward to seeing what the dev team does with their next side scroller which looks great too.
