Never played the 2008 original because my parents wouldn’t let their 8-year-old son get it for the Xbox 360, so this remake was my first experience with the series—and I’m hooked. The creepy atmosphere and awesome visuals pulled me in right away. The USG Ishimura is the perfect horror setting, like the Nostromo from Alien, with its eerie sounds and the isolation of space (as well as an INCREDIBLE sound design). The combat, weapons, and upgrades are super satisfying. If you're into sci-fi horror like me, you'll get into the story immediately. Highly recommended!
