The Quest timers are broken. They are an integral part of the game which now makes it unplayable, they've been this way for months now with no sign of a fix or even acknowledgement.

Love this game. Squad based tactical combat and missions that can be approached anyway you see fit in an open world with plenty of atmosphere and places to explore.

Shame some achievements will forever be broken.

A wonderful game and clear labour of love. Shares mechanics with several light RTS and later Tower Defense yet is neither wholly one or the other.

Nice concept executed very poorly. Very short rounded moba with an overworld base building, attack, defence meta you have little control over, topped with some pretty jarring and game breaking bugs. Not least of which can rollback your progress.

It's S.P.A.Z. Jim but not as we know it, not as we know it!

If you're a purist you should turn around and continue to play, the still fantastic original.

S.P.A.Z. 2 however is an amazing triumph, it has achieved things that big games should have but fell short of and is probably one of the few games in years worth it's asking price which is just mind boggling in itself.

However it is an evolution of the original and not an upgraded clone, those that played the original a lot will recognise and appreciate a lot of the mechanics and nuances and atmosphere but it's all, different and in my opinion better. It has had some teething problems but they are trivial things, like one option being default over another and it has continuing support, updates and love from it's developers. So much so it received not 1 but 5 updates during my first several hours playtime and they were not just bugfixes or hotpatches but suggested improvements from it's community.

Things that confound and infuriate you had been fixed while I was playing, probably just because while they made it, it simply hadn't been thought of but once suggested it made utmost sense and went straight into game.

It looks wonderful, it has more factions, more depth, more parts and deserves to be played. A lot of people have complained of grind which I didn't experience but that is also being tweeked and worked on, probably even now, showing how committed the developers are to their game.

Short but fun godgame with intuitive controls and full tutorial built into your campaign. Could be something a lot better with more built onto their foundation. Management, worship and combat are all very basic however and you don't have direct control over where buildings are placed, though the ai does build with it's purpose as a priority.

WASD camera controls
Terraforming
UI built for purpose, everthing is conveniently displayed and accessible

-The slow pace of the advisor overlays can be an annoyance.
-Other than choosing which class to create and when, the village is autonomous
