A shame really. This game had potential, who doesn't want to drop into Gotham City with your pals and take on crime together, whether it be stealth or brawling? Although that is what we got; we got a watered down, miserable attempt to recreate what Rocksteady had so masterfully erected with their past outing with the Arkham franchise.

Admittedly, I do like what they tried with the combat. Focusing less on Rocksteady's "Spam attack and dodge to win" tech with something a little more in depth. However, the difference is that of a puddle to a bathroom sink, mere inches. Your skill at the game is practically irrelevant due to it being based on gear and stats... like Destiny, yikes. New costumes and weapon looks are cool, especially with elemental effects, but not at the cost of rewarding combat, because I'm relying on this weapon having a higher power value to even dent an enemy's health bar. This'll become very notable if playing online, were enemies have their stats increases to compensate for more players. However, on Normal, they have way too much health and on Easy, they are defeated in 2-3 attacks. It's a pain.

Stealth was completely gutted, from level design to mechanics, it simply isn't much of a factor in this game. Your better off just running in like a mad man and punching everyone in the face. The game simply doesn't give you enough options to approach stealth tactically or areas to hide and approach situations intelligently; not to mention how they tied the "stealth take down" button to your ranged weapon, so sometimes you may just randomly shoot someone when you were trying to do a take down. Enemies often have weird behaviour patterns and will just stupidly turn around or face each other without much being able to do be done about it, you'll be waiting minutes at a time just to wait for one to turn and walk off, just to suddenly turn mid walk to spot you. It's infuriating.

The main family themselves feel like frail, poor recreations of the same characters you know from existing Batman media. Whether it be the games, comics or shows. Sadly, none of them really feel like they take enough from any of their respective origins. Barbara is.. sorta just there, Tim is in the same boat, ♥♥♥♥ is played up for jokes and wise-cracks and Jason spends every waking moment cracking or playing with his knuckles whilst spouting off something stupid. These are suppose to be the people Bruce Wayne, The Batman, trained?

The city feels empty and too bright at times, bloom quite literally being seen everywhere like it's Christmas; the enemies feel like poor attempts to install new personality onto the usual goons you'd take on as the Batfamily, even having corny and forced dialogue that makes you wonder how their even meant to be taken seriously as "criminals". The traversal is slow and clunky, even grappling has no weight to it as you magnetically attach to ledges and roofs. The bike, whilst a great idea, isn't designed all too well for the environment and again, suffers from being too slow.

The world itself grinds to a halt frame rate wise even on higher end PCs (I have an RTX 3070, running the game on high and still have frequent frame drops from 140 to 50). Improvements were certainly made since release but the game still randomly crashes at points and missions bug out, having to redo them entirely.

However, despite all my critics of this game. I do believe it can be a fun time with a few friends. The combat is just engaging enough to spend a few hours messing around with pals, and that the customisation is on the better side when considering the current gaming industry. The game does offer plenty of side activities and missions to sink time into and level your characters with new talent tree unlocks, so you at least feel like there's some sense of progression.

I'd recommend nabbing this game on sale if you're a fan of Batman and have a few friends who just want to kick back and goof off for a handful of hours. It's a solid 5 outta 10 for me. Could have been so much better than what it was.

For the love of god, play this game. It's so unbelievably good and you won't regret the purchase.

With the new update, the game's issue with subclasses has been repaired to a degree. I'd say there's still some room for improvement, perhaps more could be added in the future. I'd personally like more variation in maps. I understand this game takes place in the Hive Cities but literally, everything looks the same. Spice it up a little guys. And... crafting when?

But other than those complaints, the game is much more fun than it used to be.

The hardware requirements have been out for two years, shut the ♥♥♥♥ up about performance. It runs fine on a decent rig, yes the frames drop ever so slightly in certain areas but other than that, it's usually a steady framerate. Stop down-voting because your 1050ti couldn't run the game.

As much as I play and enjoy this game, I wouldn't recommend it to others unless they enjoy being ♥♥♥♥ on for their first 100-300 hours played because they'll have no perks or understanding of the game because the Devs haven't put an effective tutorial in the game yet.

DC bans are one of the worst things this game included. Got a camping or slugging killer? Well hope you had fun! Here's your 3k bloodpoints and 5 minutes of wasted time. Got cheaters? Oh well, deal with it. Got a bully squad of survivors? Don't care, wait 30 minutes and learn your lesson for not putting up with their BS. This game did not need a DC penalty to begin with, yeah- people disconnect all the time, so what? Instead of rewarding killers for 500 points, give them the amount they'd have if they fully killed the survivor. Or give the survivors a chance to surrender the match instead of bothering with wasting their time.

This game will always be a mess. Hey! Let's start redesigning the maps to have less pallets and less loops, but KEEP bloodlust! That way survivors have to struggle to do anything while killers can continue to just BL pallets and loops. The game has a constant lag bug where you'll be stuck in place, and it's always during chase so killers get unfair hits on you. Stop releasing new content, fix what's already in the game. Everytime you add new ♥♥♥♥, it breaks existing stuff. Just hold your breaks, stop making cosmetics for Meg for 5 bloody seconds and start fixing what you already have. No one with a brain wants a quirky dating simulator.

Nope, game's still trash.

Six years since I saw that beautiful trailer and what else can I say that hasn't already been said thousands of times already; this game is just so bizarrely cruel with how it lures you in with it's childish like nature and playful demeanour, with lovable characters and cute designs. Just for all of it to be flipped on it's head, oddly enough- like a nightmare. A very poetic game, beautiful artwork, tearfully moving music while still having head bopping tracks. A winding story that feels like a roller coaster. Which ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ascends into the clouds before plummeting into hell.

If you're someone who enjoyed Undertale or Earthbound; but seek a darker story with dangerous undertones, pick up this game. I loved it, it made me laugh, made me cry, made me nervous and made me mad. It made me reassess some of my real life decisions, looking back on fleeting friendships and family members with a smile of fond memories, and a bitter-sweet nip of missing the simpler times, and I'm not even 20 yet.

A must own game for your steam collection; next to games like Counter Strike GO and Terraria.

Ten years late and it's a shell of it's former self. Google "TF2 Bot problem" or "Fix TF2" or "Save TF2".

Fix TF2, please Valve.
