Next to unplayable in its current state. Constantly bombarded by crashes, bugs, and a general lack of polish. I shouldn't put half an hour into a heist just to get screwed out of my rewards just because your game is held together by duct tape and string, Starbreeze. Not that y'all give half a ♥♥♥♥ about your playerbase.

Unplayable with friends. Either someone disconnects from the lobby or they disconnect while the game's loading.

What happened, Valve? Did you just stop caring? I've not been playing nearly as long as most people, but even I can see that this game is in a sorry state. Get your ♥♥♥♥ together.

Early Access Review
Please don't add anti-cheat to this game, it won't fix the issues you claim it will, and you'll lose members of your community. If you want people to stop modding your game, add the features they've been asking for you to add. I'll be stopping my VRC subscription until further notice.

Re-review, April 18th, 2023.
Pretty much everything in my original review has been addressed, and they've added workshop support. Now I can finally play Cursed Halo without wanting to tear my hair out.

Original review down below for preservation.

Original Review
Wouldn't recommend right now. Only Reach is available right now, although I know they plan on releasing the rest in order later. All six games are available on XboxOne *now.* On top of that, there's no Forge on PC by default, and you have to modify your game files in order to access it, and even then, there's no keyboard support. On top of that, anyone using a controller is at a *massive* advantage because of the aim assist that they decided to keep. If you're not going to give that same assist to Mouse and Keyboard, then you're alienating anyone that uses it. Either lessen the aim assist on controller or add it to m&k.

Once all six games are available, I *might* recommend it.

EBF5 is the fifth installment in the Epic Battle Fantasy series (obviously), and it brings back as much, if not more, as its last two games.

Pros:
- Good graphics, spells look satisfying to use, characters are pleasant to look at
- Challenging fights, great capture system
- Interesting story that keeps the player engaged

Cons:
- Noticeable slowdown on mid range rigs, even on low graphics settings
- Level scaling seems a bit odd, as well as abilities
- Enemy scaling in certain areas make grinding needed.
- Paid content doesn't seem to add enough to the game to make it worth your while

Overall, I'd say to buy EBF5. While the paid version doesn't add a ton to the game, Matt is an amazing developer, and he continues to do great work.
