One of the best free to play games out there. While fun solo, it is much better with friends.

Early Access Review - V 256.44

Ark is a wonderful game. The environments are huge, gorgeous and a pleasure to explore and survive within. That said, I do warn potential buyers that the vanilla game is heavy grinding and multiplayer dependent. Playing on public servers requires one to play the game like it"s a second job. Building anything requires a huge amount of resources and nearly every other player is out to kill or inconvience you. If you"re into that, go for it.

For players who prefer a more solitary experience or don"t want to spend 3 hours building a modest shack can easily host their own private server. There is a generous amount of server settings at a host"s disposal: Faster taming, abundant resources, cheaper blueprints. Though hosting requires some patience and reading a couple of guides and the Wiki.

Some additional warnings: As an Early Access game, the assets are unpacked and at the time of this review"s writing, takes over 60gb. Updates are frequent and new content is regularly released, so keep that in mind if your ISP is evil and gives you a data limit.
