Most satisfying meat shots you'll ever experience in first person.
You ever played Left 4 Dead, and you liked it, but felt like there was too much ranged ammo, and too little melee play? Also you liked the zombies and special monsters, but wished half of them were very oversized and very, very pissed rats with shivs? This is the game for you, my friend.

Winter is coming. And it's going in raw.

I cannot recommend this game enough. The stylized visuals are lovely, the story is decent, and the survival just gritty and challenging enough to keep your interest, and punish you when you start messing around too much. UI and controls are solid, I never feel like bad game design is bogging me down here.

This is one of the best games to play in cold, gloomy weather. Turn down the lights, grab a blanket, grab your tea, and get out some beef jerky and/or stale crackers. Perfect for when you're already feeling like the environment outside is oppressing you one way or the other.

Solid stuff. Metro goes out into the open, so it's a little different to previous games, but I enjoyed it, and if you like both Fallout shooter gameplay and the previous Metro games, I think you will too. A few issues with RTX rendering, but if you find yourself crashing, just try and crank the game down to crap graphics for a little.

Fix the bloody audio stuttering, and make it clearer on the marketing page that this "Collection" is mostly pre-purchase. Bad port, angy angy

Edit: Audio stuttering was because my USB headset was connected indirectly via my monitor. Hasn't been a problem elsewhere, but fair enough! Works fine when using an USB port on the case. I still feel the store page should be clear about the pre-purchase state of the collection, but the content itself is decent fun.

Actual premium full-size game! No significant DLC! You get THE WHOLE GAME! And it's good! Thoroughly enjoyable game that gave me some very pleasant Zelda vibes as far as the "dungeons" went. Absolutely stunning environment art. For once, character animation that seems very life-like, no weird dead stares here. 20h of quality entertainment, which in single player story-based games is pretty solid imho. Was very positively surprised.

Dated and clunky, but somehow still a smooth experience that exhibits some core feature which makes you keep looking for the next thing in there. In fairness, after years of coming back to the game, it was stubbornness and gatekeeping myself from STALKER 2 that made me finish it. Pro tip, don't bother hauling loot back and forth, only carry the bare essentials for your own use, focus on 2-3 guns only at a time (including the pistol slot), and for "loot" only take the most weight-valuable stuff with you. Also sell to any NPC willing to buy your ♥♥♥♥. Use money, because the game is, unless you play all the side missions, ultimately a bit short. If you find a gun you like, stick to it. The RPG is cool, but ultimately a waste of weight. Use grenades, don't hoard them. And for the love of cripes, set your own hotkeys for quick medkit and quick bandage use, and G for taking out grenades or something. Model this after your most frequently played FPS or something.

I've never really bothered with playing mods, but I enjoyed this. You can of course see some small issues if you stare at the seams, but most of your gaming experiences will be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you do that anyways, even in AAA experiences. And this one doesn't even require that much suspension of belief to be enjoyable. Experience City 10 from the eyes of a Metrocop, feel pretty good about yourself TODAY!

The beauty of destruction can only truly be enjoyed when you see constructions get torn appart in a rare combination of control and chaos. It's all in the timing and the spacing - when you blow what and where.

Ever get enraged by how you can't blow up fragile-looking stuff like glass and cardboard and plywood in so many shooters? Finally, there's an outlet for this rage.

This game manages to juggle demolitions simulatior, an open world and a mission-based storyline just fine - and I love it. Remote charges are only the beginning, the game's a toybox of delicious destruction. The story's not amazing, but neither is it unbearable, providing an interesting backbone for all those missions and the progression. To break the pace of the story for a change, there's multiple challenges and micro-missions all over the world. The graphics are very decent when you keep in mind the large, open world and the physics simulations running in the background whenever you even poke a man-made wall.

A neat, off-world adventure for mindful malevolence. For people who want their explosions done with style, fancy the occasional car-chase or shootout, and feel excited about the idea of a human colony on Mars in the near future.
