The Guardians finally find their home on Steam. This is an amazing game with an engaging story and 100% worth the money (if you decide to purchase any of the expansions). To quote a friend, I’m coming home, Ace.

Early Access Review
Short answer: Download it.

Long answer: Doooooooooooownload it.

Haha, just kidding, but really download it. Why are you reading this when you should be downloading the game? It most certainly won't download itself. Jeeze.

All kidding aside, this game is flippin' awesome. If you have played Planetside 2, or what it also known as Shotgunonly 2/MoneyWin 2, then surely you will love this game. This is what Planetside 2 should have been. The game is amazingly balanced and no pay wall is present from what I could gather. I know I'm pretty pro/leet/l33t/Faze so maybe I'm just too good for a pay wall to stop me, but I was rocking the default weapons and boy was I racking up a good KDR (3.0 ) and I even went on to win the match (Germany, reich yea!). So when you say there is a paywall in this game I would have to say that you are either a:

1) N00b
2) 12 year old cod player that can't comprehend the euphoria that is required to play this game
3) Suck at making tactics or playing as a team
4) Hater
5) Console gamer
6) Can't use a mouse or keyboard if your life depended on it (and it does, because this game can improve your life)

Also, just a tip for you new players don't waste any coins during the tutorial just save that for later. The early assault rifle you get from the tutorial does not compare to the bolt-action rifle. Most importantly, go here[www.gameitems.com] and redeem your 3 days of veteran status! This is a great shooter and offers a lot of tactical play, both FPS style and RTS (as a commander). Graphics are really awesome and really sets up the time period correctly. The various vehicles you can get are also fantastic (bikes... you can ride bikes!). Let me tell you a story of my bike in my first game, a trusty bike I shall never forget. I got on this magnificent bike and rode it down a hill and accelerated so fast I could have sworn i was traveling at light speed. Alas, it took me to my correct destination and I capped the point and won the game. Bikes are usually always the answer in this game and can basically make you invisible as you ride across the map to get the last point. That is unless I'm in the game against you, in which case you will most likely die. This story leads me to my final point, the game mechanics. They are amazing, but can take some getting used to. I will not lie to you, there is a learning curve to this game, especially if you approach it from the RTS side, but DO NOT let it stop you from downloading this game. Definitely will be playing this for a long time to come!

Also, I just noticed something about my review so far... something of great cosmic significance. I wrote down 6 possibilties just now, and I offered two answers, short and long. 6/2 = 3. Half-Life 3 confirmed.

OVERALL SCORE: 10/10
- There are minor bugs here and there, but overall the game is really fun and I did not drop any money on it (yet).

Most every sequel to a game that I have played I find the series has gone downhill. Batman: Arkham City is the quintessential example of a sequel done correctly. I personally found Batman: Arkham Asylum to be one of the best games I have ever played, so to hear that a sequel would be in the works was kind of hard to come to terms with. I mean, how could they possibly outdo the vigilante glory that was Arkham Asylum? I was dead wrong to even think for a second that Rocksteady would not be able to pull it off, and for that I have eternally pledged [to myself] to support every single title they will release. I cannot stress how much this studio has pulled off with this game. I would go as far to say that Rocksteady should be the ONLY studio to do superhero games as they obviously know what they are doing (Warner Bros. Interactive can join your leet level after I have played Batman: Arkham Origins, which I'm sure will also be great...(edit, I was wrong about this bit)). Props to you Rocksteady, keep it up.... or I'll be coming for you (say that end part in Batman's voice for the full effect).

Pros:
- Amazing story-line that newcommers (how dare you be new to the series!!!) and comicbook lovers will come to love.
- God-like voice talent. Sadly, this is the last time Mark Hamil will be reprising the role of Joker, however Kevin Conroy is here to stay!
- SOOOO many side missions to complete, each introducing a new classic villain
- Open world, as in you can go anywhere within the Arkham City prison
- You get to play as most of the Bat family Catwoman
- It has Batman

Cons:
- None. I honestly found nothing wrong with this game at all... everything was just puuurfect. 10/10

Moral of the story: It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BATMAN, now get the game!

I am into games that have a lot of action, a dynamic story line, and great voice talent. And the game that incorporates all of these things into one awesome package is Batman: Arkham Asylum [GOTY]. I just love how Rocksteady portrayed Batman as the one true dark hero he was supposed to be. And yes, I said "supposed" because no other Batman game every gave him the dark essence that surrounds him as seen in various comic books. Also, the Game of the Year Edition (GOTY) comes with all the DLC this game has to offer, and all for just $19.99.

So to end my recommendation, here is a riddle....

Q: What is worth all your coin, and has a hero who crushes loin?

A: BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM!!! NOW GET IT!!!!

Let me first start by saying that I am a die hard Star Wars fan, and I own every single Star Wars game made. Star Wars Battlefront II is by far the quintessential third person/ first person shooter that is completely balanced. You do not have any DLC packs or online unlocks that ruin the game. Hackers are not even existant in the game anymore, so you never have to worry about unfair play. But the best part is that this game is completely moddable - as in you can download maps and new game modes that really increase the value of this game beyond its posted price. However, the online community is somewhat low, but the people who still reside are true hardcore SWBII fans. Additionally, the remaining community is really nice to new players (why are you even new to the series!?!?!) and you will rarely see the "12 year old rager" on there. So if you are looking for a game that has a very high replay value get this game. May the Force be with you!

This is by far one of the best purchase and pre-orders I've done in a very long time. 10/10. Also, I'm actually loving the multiplayer so far!
