Pros:
- Some characters have a lot more personality and development. I never really cared for Ashley in the original, but she really grew on me in the remake.
- Map feels more open. There's a lot more to explore, and I enjoy backtracking to find treasures and other resources. Fortunately for the most part, you aren't forced to backtrack.
- I enjoy the request system. Being able to do small side quest in exchange for Spinels that you can use for special items is nice.
- I like how faithful the Remake is. It's not 100% faithful, there was quite a bit of cut content, unless they plan on adding it in a future DLC or update. But, it's at least more faithful than the Resident Evil 3 remake.

Neutral:
- Microtransactions. I personally don't think they're too big of a deal considering that most of the stuff you get from them is obtainable for free. Of course, buying them is faster, but you can also earn them for free if you're patient and not have to spend money. I don't know about the costumes, though. For a $70 game though, I'd really hope that any future DLC, like the addition of Separate Ways, will be free. But... it most likely won't.

Cons:
- Leon still has his sass and funny comments. However, I'm sad that they removed some of his iconic lines in the original, like "your right hand comes off?"
- Why does that short dude no longer have a hat?
- Experienced a lot of performance issues. Game would sometimes crash. When it did crash, it froze my entire computer and I had to reboot it completely. My computer is not the best, but many other people have had this issue.
- Cut content. While the Remake is somewhat faithful to the original, some content in the original game is no longer in the remake. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal, but it can be for some people. Especially considering one boss fight was removed.
- Gacha mechanics. The shooting range is fun, but I absolutely hate how you have to spend gold and silver tokens for a random charm. You don't know what charms you'll get, and it's pretty common to spend tokens and get bad charms in return. You can also get duplicates. I heard you'd have to do multiple playthroughs (first playthrough and New Game ) to get most/all of the charms.
