We brought our entire ship on land and it disappeared because the game didn't like it. 0/10

This game is fun, but is a real grind. If you see it as a truck simulator in space with a little combat you should be fine as a causal player. Certainly you can be a more serious player and I would recommend checking out the reddit page for the game if your are more interested in tips and tricks that hard core players have discovered over the years. What I wish they would change is the ability to gain enough influence on a system that you gains money from them much like the galactic powers.
