Easily the most polished FromSoftware game released to date. Overall the most accessible and player-friendly game they"ve made, this game is absolutely an instant classic. The build diversity is amazing, the world is loaded with things to do and it is tons of fun to do it. It also is host to a wonderfully intriguing story and world. Older systems that didn"t quite work have been polished to perfection within this game, so if there were things you didn"t like about games like Dark Souls or Sekiro, maybe they have since fixed it here.

If there is any key feature I would like to talk about with Elden Ring, it would be the return of power stancing. Strength builds took a huge hit in power from Dark Souls II to III after the removal of power stancing. Elden Ring gives that system not only a return, but an overhaul that makes it far more accessible for most builds. Rather than requiring double the strength stat to enter the stance, meeting the minimum is all you need, and having another weapon in that class in your off hand activates it automatically.

This game is also quite mod friendly. There are mods that modernize the game or even make co-op actually playable. FOV increases, intro skips, seamless co-op, overhaul mods, randomizers, and tons more to do. You"ll just have to play offline when these are installed, fortunately mod loaders launch the game in offline mode for you anyways. So no risk of a ban!

While not my favorite FromSoftare title (That would be Dark Souls II), this game easily deserves the hype. It would be very easy to read a long winded review talking about all things amazing about this game, or you could just buy it and play it for yourself. You should do that instead.

After completion of the DLC it"s safe to say this is a fantastic expansion onto the main game. There"s plenty of things to do, lots of cool new items to add to your arsenal, the new areas to explore are unique and dynamic, and the bosses range from not so good to some of my favorites in this game.

Regarding the balance, I beat the DLC after roughly 20 hours on NG+7 totally blind with no guides and a non-arcane setup. I think it"s fair to criticize the state of the balance, as this isn"t really tailored to be accessible for most players that have beaten base game Elden Ring. While it is a trend for DLC content to be harder, some bosses teeter on being exhausting and unfun, especially the last boss which is just outright unpolished. Overall though, some of the coolest and most fun to learn bosses in the game as a whole come within Shadow of the Erdtree, Messmer being one of my favorites. It"d be fair to say they need to either lower the truck loads of damage bosses do or maybe decrease the spam on their combos to give players more chances to retaliate. But once you do learn them, it becomes a lot more enjoyable - a skillful dance of weaving in and out of danger to strike down the boss.

Other than that, everything else is fantastic. I love the variety of weapons they introduced to the game, especially the new weapon types in general. They add so much flavor to the game, more dynamic gameplay overall. I especially love the Dryleaf weapons and their tailor made weapon arts to pair with them, some of the most fun I"ve had using a weapon in any Miyazaki title. The other content is great too, the map is really large, Limgrave being used to scale it was totally incorrect, it was x5 the size of it easily, which a huge emphasis on verticality. There are also areas with entire gimmicks that make them more fun to explore, the Abyssal Woods was easily my favorite area. The madness theme and the "required" stealth was awesome, and to top it off you get one of the best looking bosses in the series at the end of it all. Great stuff.

I"d say now that in retrospect it wasn"t as bad as people said it was, but the scadutree scaling changes they made recently was a step in the right direction for the overall favor for this DLC. Even if I had already finished it before that was out, I still appreciate the effort. And after a simple lookover at some bosses damage values I think this will easily be one of the best DLCs a soulsborne game has received. Dark Souls II will always hold that trophy for me.

Worth $40 for sure, not a skill issue if you struggle, and remember to use everything the game gives you to get an edge over this new adventure.

Quake 3 is a pure FPS experience, one of the greatest. I wish this was free to play still but you can"t go wrong with the money you"ll spend on it anyways. Clean movement with lots of subtle tech that you can master, a large but balanced weapon pool that takes years of time to master each ones proper use, and easy to understand mechanics. There"s nothing wrong with this game, other than a low but passionate player-base.

If you love arena shooters, if you love FPS, this is it. This is arguably the best arena shooter ever created, attached to the granddaddy of the game series that spawned all of your favorite games.

Here"s hoping these games see a resurgence. Love me some Quake.

Early Access Review
An RNG card system which sways the tides of the game immensely with a dead on arrival tier player-base. The core game mode is not fun and the classes don"t feel balanced purely based off of weapon selection alone. This isn"t what I was hoping for seeing as the first game looked like a really cool arena shooter.

With time it may get better but so far it"s really unfun. Quake Champions is free and a better experience.

No players, bad core gameplay, likely going to be abandonware. Hard skip on this junk.

Feels like F.E.A.R and the better aspects of Crysis mashed into one game. It"s quite fun and has some neat interactions similar to that of F.E.A.R. You can shoot enemies gun hands to make them fumble their gun, or stop time to steal it from them. You have a rewind, slow, and stop time set of buttons that flow pretty nicely and feel seamless. I personally really enjoy this game, aged quite well for nearly being 20 years old.

A beautiful game with heavy and tragic narrative plots. The game is very short and elegant, it didn"t even take me 2 hours to beat it. But I would recommend anyone play it if they"re looking for a narrative to thoroughly enjoy. The games style shifts from person to person, as does the gameplay. It"s a fantastic game, I highly recommend it.

This game is literally everything that I wanted from a sequel for the original game. Please ignore all of the Redditor tier garbage takes about the completely and utterly irrelevant MTX this game has.

The gameplay is an absolute upgrade from the first game in every single way, the world is dynamic and very vertical, the story is perfectly serviceable, remakes of all prior gear and skills are just what old fans like myself wanted. All classes are genuinely fantastic now, which is a huge positive for this game as well. I genuinely can"t see any wrong with this game, as someone that has actually played the game before reviewing it, I would highly recommend getting this game. If you"ve come looking for a dynamic, eventful, epicly scaled, and jam packed RPG ripe for perfecting then you"ve found it.

Whether thyself be a former Arisen, or one that ne"er once entered the cycle, steel thyself for the coming journey.

Gameplay isn"t for me, not a huge fan of the 1 shots and slower gameplay style. I"d take Quake any day of the week over this, however it can be super fun with friends. So if you"re from the movement shooter community don"t even bother unless you have a 5 stack of friends to get mangled by AKs with.

I don"t think I"ve ever played a game that has made me this bored ever. GTA V expects you to pay to play it, quality of life is locked behind a wall. Whether that wall is insane time investment or monetary, it"s all the same boring and dry content. Missions regardless of the caller behind it play near identical, everything pays like utter garbage, and the only good mission content is in the campaign or just a few of the named callers in your contacts in the online mode; most of which are locked behind a massive million plus dollar business investments.

The gameplay has aged like milk, guns feel genuinely terrible to shoot and your character moves like they are stricken with tank controls. There are RPG-tier stats in the game as well, such as melee attack power, health being locked behind player level (You have to be level 100 to even get max hp), driving skill, and more. It makes actually no sense to have comically bad stats in a game about robbing people and shooting stuff.

I genuinely can"t stand playing this absolutely rancid game, everything about it is poorly made and is inferior to Red Dead Redemption, regardless of the developmental age gap, this product would have never been as good as it. Don"t even consider buying this game if you value your wallet and sanity.
