The game still holds up, even compared to it's modern sequels (pre-sequels?). Good graphics, fun gameplay, and just enough of a story to keep me entertained, this has been one of my go-to games for multiplayer mayhem since it first released.

RECOMMENDED?: Though Borderlands 2 is an overall better game, this one is still worth it, ESPECIALLY if you can find the GOTY edition on sale.

This is everything the first game should have been, and more. More of the same great gameplay, but enhanced with new gear, weapons, and tech, this game also adds elements of a legitimate story, making it an all-around better package.

RECOMMEND?: To fans of team-based shooters, yes. Otherwise, only maybe.

Moderately fun, and with ok graphics and gameplay, this game lacks in story for even a hardcore LotR fan such as myself. There's frankly not enough in this game for me to recommend it to any but other LotR fans.

Multiplayer changes this up a bit, though. The game doesn't get any harder with multiple players (unlike other games), so it only becomes easier, but it's fun to party with friends and see who can kill the most orcs and goblins.

RECOMMEND?: Only to hardcore LotR fans.

Decently good graphics, and fun spaceship gameplay, this is otherwise a run-of-the-mill MMO as far as everything-but-space is concerned, and even the space gamplay is pretty standard. Nothing truly innovative here.

RECOMMEND?: If you like Star Trek and want a decent MMO, yes. Otherwise, pass over unless you're looking for an MMO on a budget (and even then, I'd suggest the ill-fated Star Wars: The Old Republic over this).

An odd game, recommended only for people with beefy computers who understand astronomy and astrophysics. Not TRULY a game, it's more of a fancy tech-demo, using real-world NASA and JPL tech to make simulations on a universal level.

RECOMMEND?: If you have an orbital mechanics fetish, go right ahead. Otherwise, it's nowhere even close to an actual game to recommend.

An old game, it still seems more entertaining to me than its sequel. It makes a much better mobile game than a full PC title, however, as there's not enough to do in it to justify turning on my massive rig to play this.

RECOMMEND?: For a mobile device (especially a tablet), sure. It's fun enough. But for PC? I can't say yes.

An ancient game, for a more civilzed age.

Republic Commando was one of my favorite formative shooters back in the day, alongside the original Halo and MechAssault. The game is much easier to play on a gamepad, but otherwise the port of the Xbox original game is excellent.

RECOMMEND?: If you like shooters and Star Wars, completely. Otherwise, it's an ok shooter by itself (there is a good amount of frustrating level design).

Good graphics and moderately good gameplay. the bland story, setting, and characters bring this game down. Odd control scheme too; I found myself too slow because of manu navigation. It took a while to get used to it.

RECCOMMEND?: Not particularly. If you can find it for super cheap, it may be worth it at that point.

An oldie-but-goodie, the original PAYDAY is still fun, though dated and surpassed in every way by its sequel. Good graphics and gameplay, though an almost complete lack of story, make this a buy only if you are a fan of the series and haven't already tried it.

RECCOMMEND?: Only if you are a fan of the series and haven't already tried it.

This is hands down one of the best shooters I've ever played on PC, even considering its age. Fun, tactical, and more realistic than most (keeping in mind that it is still a video game), the single-player campaign is something I still come back to and play every once in a while. It's unfortunately short, however.

Multiplayer was ok back in the day, but it's been eclipsed by every other similar game that's come out since then.

RECCOMMEND?: If you want an amazing military shooter single-player story experience, definately. If the previous sentence doesn't appeal to you, this is probably not for you.
