The current assumption with the review bombing is that a Playstation account is "Required" when opening the game, it is not you can start a new game without being prompted to a Sony login screen (I'm in the US, so this could be different in other countries). The actual issue is that purchasing the game is still banned in the 170 countries. The Playstation Overlay is also required which is a bummer due to the overlay's processes not closing after exiting the game which will make steam think the game is still running, I hope they fix this in a coming patch.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 feels like an amazing early 2010's game in 2024 visuals. Games with no "Item Shop or "Battle Pass" system with a $70 price tag is enjoyable, though this game has the "early access" for higher priced editions which isn't too big of an issue in this current market of worse greedy tactics. The PvE and campaign in this game has really enjoyable pacing that doesn't get highly boring with a bonus of being fairly replayable for me. The performance in this game is pretty CPU heavy, I run a 3080 and a 5800x3d and I get usually around 90 FPS minimum at 1080p. I definitely would give this game a try at it's fair $60 pricepoint, if it's on sale that's even better of a reason to pick it up.

Game is really good, but the performance optimizations are insane for a recently released game title let alone being a really great implementation of DirectX 12 which is really rare. It's unfortunate that I even have to say that.

This is the most relaxing game I've played in the longest, it really reminds me of A Story About My Uncle. The climbing mechanics are extremely fun/original, they felt really good on controller and never really got boring or repetitive. The visuals are amazing, this being one of the games releasing in UE5's adoption shows off how good it looks however that doesn't throw out the amazing illustration and art style the game has, I've never seen a game be this simplistic and still so gorgeous to look at. The level design is nicely thought out, and never left me too stumped to the point of looking up YouTube videos. My playthrough was around 3-4 hours long, but I would recommend anyone to pick this game up whether it's on sale or not.
