Can't put the balls down, 2 nights in a row I've tried to get whatever is potentially above GOOBER.

With as addicting as this game can get, I think I'm calling it quits after my experience last night.

The system is shaped in a beyond apparent cash grab with the durability mechanic. You're wrapped up in the middle of a main quest objective and if you haven't visited a weapons workbench within 30 minutes or so to 'repair' your main weapon of choice; you're left to other means of fending off waves of foes, which typically means melee weapons. This can add upwards of 5 minutes as enemies, especially Boss tier ones are HP sponges and the monotony wanes as you're sitting there "Whap!" 85 points "Whap!" 85 points "Whap!" *Guarded* "Whap!".. Frustration builds as there's different categories of enemies that require a stockpile of perk cards to tackle; if you haven't preplanned your build before going in you've acosted yourself more ammo, time..- which all adds to your dwindling durability that adds to even more time. The way around the durability? Repair kits that can be purchased with the in game currency that can be purchased with real money or that you've stockpiled from the daily login reward generosity. But wait! you also have durabilty on your armor. Think your repair kit applies to all? Hah, hope you've got 5 of those if you haven't thought to repair your Helmet, all four limbs, and your chest before you started this event. You're a Power Armor user? Ah man, your Fusion Core is running low! You better hop back to camp and swap that out before it disappears in a blink; not alone having to repair that durability as well which requires rare resources unless you.. Once again have repair kits.

I made a small nod to Ammo in this 'rant' and as much as contextual ammo drop is beneficial, not all enemies have this bonus and you're just feeding those pellets into the abyss if you're dealing with HP sponge enemies or a select category like robots. If you're even lucky to have a proper build for your desired ammo type, screw you if you want a build that fits your desired play style; you're getting shotgun shells a plenty. There's a number of ways to get around this but the quickest is always going to be buying that ammo converter machine from the 'cash shop'.

Fallout 1st bonuses are definitely beneficial as you're constantly being weighed down by your hoard of junk resources you're stockpiling for your inevitable weapon, armor, and C.A.M.P. repairs. Convenience of having a portable camp to dump your over encumbered stock as you made a trek to an instanced zone in search for your loose screws & aluminum for repairs.

I think the situation was audibly made best as I was a glutton for punishment attributing a bullet donation to a Scorchbeast Queen event and someone flooded the audio channel with Spongebob Music followed by a number of cartoon-esc sound effects. World Boss downed, the silence broken by further audible flooding with someone listening to someone's YouTube review of a Shotgun build ON REPEAT. An hour later I'm working on a main quest with Public Casual Team in tow, my lone wanderer silence broken by my lovely stranger friend providing me with the much needed knowledge of a Shotgun build for my entertainment as I "Whap!" another Protectron with my Smile donned Nuka World Mallet for 85.

Although this game is new, this should have earned a couple of 2023's Game Awards.

For as simplistic or minimalist this game is; it's surprisingly addicting.

From my perspective as a new player that was asked, albeit begged to join by others; Do not come into this with a large group and half of the crew having the goal of speed running to the extent that you're not only going in blind, but have no goal or way of traversing through this random labyrinth - It was beyond a frustrating experience that almost drove me to requesting a refund. Glad I stuck with it and my later experiences with 3-4 close friends was a much more pleasurable one.

Definitely recommend, plenty of laughs to be had despite how unfair or silly the deaths can be. LethalCreature is a big recommendation for a mod; Fits the aesthetic as if it was part of the base game.

Probably the best 'inside joke' to spawn from this:
> Has a steering wheel & piece of sheet metal in hand - met with a rail opening gap with what I assume has a beam cross-member for me to jump to in order to traverse to the other side (It's pitch black, no flashlight.)
> Announces "Jump Puzzle!"
> Leap of faith into the void and dies, crew gives a moment of silence that is broken with "Logan was carrying loot.." uttered through their radios.
10 Out of 10, Would jump for the 'Jump Puzzle' again.

My wife and I absolutely love this game.

I do hope Hyenas become an option soon :)

Where is CS:GO and my Achievements

I can't afford to flip homes in real life; so this is the next best thing - and I don't have to get all dirty and sweaty while I do it.

Gorgeous game through and through; a great "Sequel" to Epistory.

If you're into typing games, I highly recommend this and the aforementioned Epistory.

This one is definitely a lot cuter with the creatures.

Bridget and Dolphins, what more could you want?
