Good concept yet so many flaws.
The graphics are very dated like mount and blade warband kind of dated, the controles are very dated too and unresponsive which is kind of a shame for a game that try so hard to be darksoul when it comes to combat, music is very repetitiv, the little voice acting there is in the game is god awful down to even the quality of the recording hardware they used where you hear the crust from the poor quality mic, sound design is ...weird, some odd choice were made there, and then you have the progression.
The progression is based on stuff and abilities that you have to get from very specific npcs which ultimately funels you on what feels like a scripted path. Like sure you can go wherever you want however you'll get obliterated by enemies if you go to most part of the map so you have to find where you don't get one shoted, get what you can from that place and proceed to try and error your way to the next place where you can actualy survive an encounter with an enemy.
Stuff based progression can work, exibit A: borderland however it work when you have plenty of varied loot and place to get loot to constently progress. In outward the choice is very limited when it comes to weapons and armor and for the 20 hours i spent in that game i've basically only see the same basic iron weapon trash everywhere. I did find 1 rather nice long sword in a bandit camp but what drove the final nail in outward's coffin for me was how i got all my stuff stolen by some slavers and basically sent back to square one. Imagine borderland where you get to a prety hard dungeon, you die and the games tells you "well if you want to get your stuff back you have to do that hard dungeon you died in but naked and armed with a butter knife have fun! Oh and btw the game was saved so no loading back allowed." So basically you go back to the start of the game and re stuff from scratch. Oh and of course if you die again enjoy grinding for gear again!
So yeah go back to wintcher 3. It's better looking, better sounding, the gameplay is better, the progression system is better, everything is voice acted with movie quality voice acting, soundtrack is legendary, you could fill a book with the lore behind it... oh wait the games are actualy based on a series of books. Oh and it's 10$ cheaper.

Long story short, this game should be 15$ to 20$ at most for the kind of jankiness you get when you buy it.
