I love this game to death the characters, the lore, the comics, the music, the gameplay loop, etc.
I still play it frequently on community servers with people everyday and have a good time so I still recommend this game to people.

I do want to address the elephant in the room that's been a problem for years though which is on Valve.

Unfortunately, I find it unacceptable how Valve has just gone radio silent with this game especially with the hacking bots in Casual. It's still one of the most active games played on Steam and yet it still hasn't gotten a major update since 2017.

Any reasonable developer would put effort into stopping spinning sniper bots but apparently Valve just doesn't care at all which is sad.


The sniper bot problem has been a thing for YEARS now and the "effort" Valve did was when the bots were spamming hate speech and didn't allow F2P players to communicate as a result but yet the sniper bots still ruin Casual anyway because Valve put a bandaid on a sinking ship and called it a day.

I really want Valve to fix the game because there is still the sniper bots and tons of bugs/optimization issues that should have been done years ago.

The fact this game even with a really good CPU/GPU combo (I have a 5600x and 3080) still gets drops below 60 fps on maps is just absurd to me.

The community will keep this game alive but it's just sad to me Valve stopped caring about one of their most beloved games of all time and just ghosted this game with whatever they're doing now in Valve time.
