Total War Companions

Dear friends, romans, countrymen (and -women)!

Welcome to our Total War Rome II companionship. This group shall be a platform for you and us to share thoughts, ideas and feedback. You can use it for posting your latest mods and other work! And you can ask for advice and help from the other members, when you got questions or issues with the game.

If you want to know how to get into modding, check out DogSoldierSPQRs great and very helpful youtube tutorials about using the PackFileManager and Assembly Kit. Watch them twice and further read the wonderful modding tutorial of our companion Sebidee on Steam. Sebidee also released a unit mod template. So you can start modding asap!

From time to time we can help you with details, but we get a lot requests to check tables and finish mods lately. Though we´d love to do so, we really can´t do that all the time. Modding is very time consuming and sometimes tricky and every mod is different. Once you got the basics - this may take a day or two or a week (Wolfman needed 2 weeks to get his first unit in the game:)), you will get it done faster and faster. Just keep trying and you will succeed. Word!

Have no idea if this is the place for this, but I keep getting an error in BOB AssemblyKit when I'm trying to import a 3D model into Rome 2. Weighted mesh ********* subobject 0' is trying to use a Rigid Mesh shader 'standard' (The stars is just instead of the name of the model)

Hi guys,

i think you can stil recall the 2nd world-wide unofficial Total War survey.

Fredrin aka Tiberius Cracktus returned and he recently set up a really interesting and fair survey about Attila, which will also ask some questions about TW future, like Warhammer etc.

[h1]It's definitely worth the time.[/h1] It took me about 10 minutes to complete it.

I was not involved into that project this time, but that doesn't say it's not great :) It really is and I felt it was worth the time taking it.

So far we had over 3000 participants in a couple of days.

Hello everyone. I am trying to create a Persian marines mod based off of the movie 300: Rise of an Empire. I am not entirely sure exactly how to create naval units so I am having some trouble. Would someone be so kind as to check out my tables and tell me why this mod is not working correctly? I have it set on friends only so you'll have to friend me in order to help. Thank you.

@PFC Tanto1994 open the db folder with either assembly kit or PFM find the 'factions' table find Persia and then tick the boxes true for MP republic early and MP republic late (or something similar).

Hey guys, im just wondering...how do you make texture masks?? you know for faction colours on tunics and stuff?
