The NDI mission is to improve the way that players communicate by implicitly teaching about communication, leadership, and accountability in an environment that facilitates constructive criticism. NDI is organized by Zude, a former USAF Auxiliary C/MSgt and SAR instructor.

This is a leadership community, not a regiment! Each role has a different registration process.


Soldiers follow orders, but they also rate and review their leaders. They will have influence to impose new records on officers. However, only officers will have a permanent record. This approach shows the distinction between responsibility and accountability. To join a squad, ASK a sergeant to include your name in his squad roster.

Squads are led by sergeants using direct leadership. They deal with people, so they drill the squad most of the time. Sergeants must relay and promote the ideas of the officer to their subordinates. Sergeants can argue with the officer in private, but they cannot deny the order. They do not have an accountable record, but they are held responsible for the attendance, safety, and discipline of their platoon. To create your squad, COMMENT on the post of the officer that will be accountable for you and your squad.

Platoons are led by officers that use mostly indirect leadership. They deal with decisions, so they should always lead indirectly through their sergeants. They can assume direct leadership at the cost of cognitive ability. They are allowed to deny company orders because they are accountable for the attendance, safety, and discipline of their squads. A company is led by a captain that uses indirect leadership. Captains are responsible for directing communication between platoon officers. He is accountable for the results of his mission, and the cooperation/survival of all platoons.
