Leisure Suit Larry is a series of adult themed adventure games designed by jazz musician and programmer, Al Lowe. They each center around a loser (albeit, a lovable loser!) named Larry Laffer, who appears to be looking for love in all the wrong places!

I would like to wish each and every one of the Leisure Suit Larry fans in this group (and adventure gamers in general) a very happy holiday season! I know that many of us have been ousted from Replay Games over the last few months, and some very hurtful things were said by the powers that be, but I am slowly learning not to hold grudges. Hatred, it seems, only encourages further hatred. What we need right now is healing. I have decided to leave this group open as a general purpose Leisure Suit Larry page. For now, the title will remain "Leisure Suit Larry Kickstarter" because Steam does not allow group name changes.

I hope that everyone is enjoying their favorite holiday eggnog or hot cocoa with their favorite adventure games in this very festive of times! 2014 looks to be another great year for the adventure game genre, with the release of Broken Age, Broken Sword 5: Episode 2, Gabriel Knight, Hero-U, Moebius, SpaceVenture, Tex Murphy and so many others that we helped fund last year! Again, I wish everyone a happy holiday! Let us not forget everything that has come before (the good and the bad), but accept what has happened and move on to bigger and better things. Life can sometimes make us feel down, but we always have a choice in the matter. May 2014 bring happiness and success to everyone! Peace!

Guys From Andromeda LLC released their first alpha demo for SpaceVenture this past Wednesday. If you backed their Kickstarter at or above the $15 level, you are invited to download your very own copy. If you are new to SpaceVenture, there is no time like now to pre-order. The game features the laugh-out-loud humor of Space Quest, with the same charming artistic and musical style. The full game arrives later this year.

If you love Leisure Suit Larry, you will LOVE the Tex Murphy games! They are great detective games set in the 2040s in San Francisco, and they have exciting noir mystery stories, interesting characters, great acting, fun adventuring, and a nice dash of humor. All five of the old Tex Murphy games are on GOG.com . There is also a Kickstarter project for the game that will be a modern sequel to the last Tex Murphy game (made in 1998). The Kickstarter ends on Friday, June 15 at 11:51 PM MDT, which is in less than 44 hours!
