ABOUT Half-Life: Source Update

The Half-Life: Source YOU deserve.

In development of the Source Engine, Half-Life: Source was supposed to replace the GoldSource Version of Half-Life, included with the original plans of Source Conversions were TFC, CS, and DMC. CS became CSS, and TFC and DMC ended up fading off to never been seen again.

In 2003, Half-Life 2 leaked with various VMFs, Source Codes, and a playable build. The leak included a early version of Half-Life: Source, DMC and CS Map files and material files ported to the 2003 build of Source, and TFC materials ported to the 2003 build of Source.

In 2004, Half-Life: Source released with no sight of the Source ports of TFC and DMC. Half-Life: Source was negatively received by the community, meaning Half-Life 1 was able to continue on as being the primary Half-Life. Half-Life: Source showed little updates from the 2003 build, and was considered to be buggy.

In 2006, Half-Life Deathmatch: Source was released as a pack in with EP1, HLDMS was also negatively received by the community, and there were still no sight of the Source Ports of TFC and DMC.

In 2012, Source Base 2007's assets were leaked, showing that HL1S and HLDMS were once planned to be updated onto the Source Base 2007 engine, included with these files are ported TFC code.

In 2013, Valve Corporation decided to update all of their games to the Source Base 2013 and provide various bug fixes. Half-Life: Source and Deathmatch: Source were included with these updates. Sadly, these conversions broke more than what they fixed.

This project is to finish and polish Half-Life: Source to a shine, to the point where it could be considered to be as good as Half-Life 1. This project also plans to bring TFC and DMC to the Source Engine as originally planned by Valve.

That's all engine based last time I checked. But there is a plug-in for Source 2013 that makes demos work better from what I was told, and it should work fine with HLSU and HLS since they run on Source 2013

I have a question, Is there gonna be an option to record demo's in Hl:S update? the original's demo recording option is broken as all hell.
