As requested by our players on Discord, we have removed the Tek Helper mod. The mod was found as game breaking and making Tek tier too easy to acquire which makes end game content easy and boring. With this removal a wipe was necessary. Instead of simply wiping we switched the map to the Center. By doing this we preserved all the player levels and everybody can use their old characters.

With these new changed we have also decided to put a tribe limit of 5 members and no alliances in place. This is to ensure that there won't be 1 massive tribe on the server to dominate all the others.

During the upcoming weekend we will hold our first real events on the server. From this point on there will be weekly events that will be announced on Discord and in our Steamgroup.

We're kicking off the weekend by doubling the taming rates on Friday. This will last the entire weekend and we suggest you prepare your tranquilizers to stock up your base with dino's.

On Saturday we are going to hunt some whales (Leedsychtis). Not just with dino's, but by hand! Everybody is free to participate and you don't need to bring anything. We'll take care of you and arm you with something special to kill it with.

Klitzosaurus has joined the team as a co-owner of the new upcoming Ark server. That being said we are discussing all the settings, rates, mods and rules as we speak. Once there is news available about a launch you will be notified.

This does mean that we are getting an Ark server again.

Freedom Gaming Network is changing from a community to a clan.

We've had our ups and downs since our start in Febuary when it comes to activity within the group and keeping this activity. Right now we are at a down again with the Ark server pretty much dead in the water and very little activity on our Discord channels as well. For this reason we are turning the community into a clan to get people more active and involved.

What does this mean?
- We are adding back several games, cause there is no longer any pressure on having to advertise and/or keep that game active. The games that are currently on the list are: Ark, Borderlands 2, 7 days to die, Rainbow Six Siege, Minecraft, Payday 2, PUBG and Rocket League.
- Special channels that are only allowed for FGN members
- The option to host your own events within the clan

The Ark servers future
As mentioned above, the Ark server has pretty much died again. This has happened every 3-4 weeks for the past 3 months and we tried to revive it several times by wiping and restarting with new settings and mods. Personally I think there are way too many servers out there, so I've already spoken with a few of the members that remained on the server about making 1 big tribe and joining another server instead of keeping our own server. This has been picked up as a positive idea which we are going to realise ASAP.

What about the Minecraft server?
Well the Minecraft server is being used quite often and it took KingFM and LittleChronic a lot of time to build all the community stuff and setup all the mods/rules in the game. We have no intention of dropping this server and are looking forward to see more people join in.

With all the new tek tier content coming up and boss arenas on the center not functioning properly, we are switching to The Island. A poll was held on our discord and the majority voted for a change in maps. This ofcourse means a wipe as well. However we did some tweaks to the server to ensure the new version gives a different and more challenging experience. To achieve this we have made the dinos a little bit stronger.

Wild Dino damage 1 -> 2.5
Tamed Dino damage 0.44 -> 1
Exp 2x -> 3x
Gathering 3x -> 5x
Taming 6x -> 8x
