This group is primarily focused on giving the trans* community on Steam a safe place to get together and have friendly discussions.

However, we welcome EVERYONE to come join us as well, regardless of who you are or how you identify!

Concerning HRT Self-Medication

Please don't advocate it in the chat or anywhere else in the group. This has not happened yet in our group, but I've seen it happen in other places I'm a part of.

I understand that depending on circumstances, it may be the last and only option for some people. But most of us are not medical professionals, nor should we be recommending serious medical advice to people without the proper qualifications. Especially something that runs the risk of serious injury or death if done improperly. It is entirely irresponsible and unethical to do so.

If this happens to come up in chat or anywhere else, and you notice someone who is desperate enough to go down this road, please do your best to act responsibly and forward them to proper, professional resources so that they can have a chance to obtain the best possible care that can be found.

Finally, we should continue to do what we've always done: be there to offer kind words, understanding and a place for people to be heard if they need to be.
