Tex Murphy and the Romanov Enigma takes place between The Pandora Directive and Tesla Effect novels. The sixth and final novel, Tex Murphy: Trance, is coming in the future!

There is some content overlap between Romanov Enigma and the Tex Murphy Radio Theater seasons. The novel starts with similar content to what was covered in Season TWO, followed by similar content that was covered in season ONE, and then moves on to never before told Tex Murphy content. Tesla Effect Visual Effects Artist Mat Van Rhoon has started a new game company called Terabbit Studios. The first project is a game called The Lark Ark! All six episodes of Tex Murphy Radio Theater Part Two were released during the last six weeks of 2022! They can be listened to for free on YouTube! Part Two takes place two months after The Pandora Directive, and a few days before Overseer. The total running time is about an hour and 21 minutes, with each episode being about 14 minutes on average.

Radio Theater Part One has also been re-released. This season was originally released in 2001 and covered what happened to Tex right after the events of Overseer. Part Two is a prequel to Part One. If you missed Part One the first time around, or if it’s been a while and you want to listen again, now you can! Part Two is kind of like a prologue to Overseer, and Part One is kind of like an epilogue to Overseer.

If completed, this remake will include a remastering of all of the FMV, music, voices, sounds, and 3D environments. It would be a faithful remake, but feature a modern interface and controls. Using the original source tapes, the cinematics can be reprocessed to smooth, 8K HD video using machine learning. BFG wrote that "Our goal is to take what we believe is an already amazing game and scale it up to modern standards while preserving the soul of the original game".
