The Top 500 list was updated today. I went searching through the top 5000 users of sAPI, kindly provided by iveinsomnia (lots of them had outdated profiles). I was able to sift through these profiles so very quickly thanks to the fantastic scripts and hosting provided by MaLeK (a.k.a. AK87). Thank you much to both of you!

You will notice that with all the new data, the cutoff to make Top 500 has increased by 33 games. Several users on the list did go private, but many new ones were found. The more data you guys send my way, the more accurate this list will be. Please note that these private profiles are taken off the list during each weekly update, but I do continue to track them and almost 6000 other profiles for changes. If you want to be ranked, simply go public.

I have finished work on the preliminary version of a new ranking list for game collectors. This is a streamlined ranking list which shows game count only. The link below will be the new permanent link as long as the rank list is on a google doc. Feel free to bookmark it accordingly.

This list has some features that may appeal to you over the other great ranking lists out there:

• Incredibly low load time
  
• Uses actual game count as seen in your profile, not the other game counts which can be off by hundreds if you are in the top echelon of collectors.
  
• No pesky sub61 users clogging the list with inaccurate data
  
• All profiles updated at the same time. This helps to keep your true rank accurate
  
• Future features will include comparison with other users and historical data!
  
• Today the ranking list features users with 1200 games. Starting tomorrow, the ranking list will feature users with 1000 games. Note the further down the list you go, the more inaccurate the ranking will be.
  
• Only public profiles with 1000 games will be ranked. Private profiles known to have more than 2000 games will also be ranked.

Artimenius achieved his Gaming God badge on January 6, 2014 (sorry for the late announcement).

I am now making the new ranking list[docs.google.com] available to check out. It is current, but I am still working on many of the hidden formulas and some scripts that will update it. Please take a look at it. Let me know what you think of the format, try to find hidden formulas, try to break it, etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow I will add some more entries to the list, but for now it is only 2000 game count and up.
