So farconics over on the reddit posted a vpn workaround for those of you having issues connecting. With a recent update capcom has well...done what capcom does and has tighten their region lock security. I can confirm that this worked for me.

So recently there was a patch to the game and the old patch will most likely not work. Riftcrystal went ahead and updated his patch to work with the latest version of the game. I dont think anything new was added, it was more to just make it compatible.
