F.E.A.R. is a first-person shooter psychological horror video game series.

The series acts to scare the player with random appearances of Alma or her creations, often accompanied by sudden loud sound effects. Alma is designed to be an unbeatable enemy, serving to frighten the player more than an easily killable enemy could.
