Game has been out for a little bit now. However, as much fun as it has been, I can't recommend it. There are major technical issues with the game, primarily due to inexperienced developers. I understand that this was a labor of love, and the idea of the game was great, with one of the best crafting systems I have ever seen. I didn't even care that it was written in unity, and had subpar graphics. With a smaller studio, I tried to be patient and give EHG a lot of latitude given their communication, at least early on, with the community.

However, the honeymoon phase is over, and once you actually get to the endgame, all the problems EHG has continually IGNORED start to come to light.

1. There is a major memory leak. You need to shut down the game and either reboot your PC, or manually clear your RAM before playing again.
2. Major bugs preventing advancement of the main quest if you take one of their "alternate" leveling routes have persisted since i have been playing, reported multiple times, and read countless more instances on various forums only to be met with complete silence from EHG.
3. The game will randomly stop accepting inputs. This has been a problem since I bought the game, but has been getting worse with each patch. Patch 1.1.5 just released at the time of this writing, and if you submit a bug report in game, it will no longer allow you to move, with your ONLY option being to restart the game.
4. Tooltips regularly go offscreen. There was supposed to be an enhancement with this patch, but nothing.
5. The development team can't seem to figure out, citing it's "Not possible", despite ALL other ARPG's having persistent maps. But in this game, if you leave a map and come back, the fog of war resets.
6. Optimization is the worst of any game I have ever played. For such low quality graphics, it pins my 7800x3d and my 7800xt on my desktop. Forget trying to play on anything less than a heavy duty gaming laptop. I had one with a 12900k 3050ti. It killed the laptop because it overheated the battery drawing too much power due to how poorly optimized this game is.

I could fill multiple pages of bug examples, ALL OF WHICH I CAN REPLICATE on request, only to have the development team completely ignore every single one of them.

It really is sad, because this game had so much potential. I wanted to love it, I really did. But this patch proved that EHG is either incompetent or apathetic.

Due to mostly ever playing on steam deck, I purchased to try based on the "playable" rating.

Yes is it "playable" but due to the genre of game, I found that it is not and that more steam deck compatibility adjustments are required.

Game is extremely buggy. In the first zone, it rubber bands hard every 3rd step, constantly stuttering and resetting character position. Disconnects are frequent, and the servers go offline for long periods of time. Tech support forums are filled with bug reports and issues that are never responded to. Devs are focused on adding features, while the core game does not function most of the time.

If you are willing to play Fully Offline, it is a fun game, but the constant performance issues make it very difficult to run. Expect frequent and extended downtimes with little to no communication from devs.

The core gameplay is fun, when it works, but since launch of the full version, it has failed to work more than half the time. Game has the potential to be great, but it held back by a skeleton crew at the developers, and serious server communication issues. Issues have continued through multiple patches across two seasons.
