The riddle is part of a puzzle. You're not meant to guess or have heard it before.
Yes I know what a riddle is...but we're supposed to figure out they're talking about the main character vs. the player or a general "you," and that it relates to an in game object in a different room? Bit obscure.
Don't kill the messenger. BTW you haven't introduced yourself so I don't know if you're a player or a dev etc. So I am just answering honestly.
Reply on a 2 year old topic? Okay...
Point really is that if it's not fun to solve the riddle, the game is not fun. The point of a game is fun.
IIRC it was not about the riddle itself per se. I wanted to keep the audio on and not have to mute audio entirely, just be able to toggle music off/on. Again IIRC.
I've since lost much hearing, and I think the overly sensitive hearing was a precursor. But, options for all players (accessibility and/or comfort) can only increase sales. (Speaking generally.)
Looking at the topic and even the topic TITLE again: It's literally just asking "can we turn off the music."
Literally this is about people whose vision or hearing might not be 100 %, being able to see and or hear clues...Accessibility issue, essentially. But I didn't bring it up again...I asked years ago and then it became another game I never played more.
1) You are the one who included the bit about the riddle and the colors instead of sticking to the topic in the title.
2) There should be a "Unsubscribe from discussion" button right next to the topic. You don't have to keep coming back here.
Answering 1 and 2 -- I began the topic. I wrote the title.
Again answering both -- the topic was posted 27 January 2022. It's nearly 2 years later and someone blows in and gives me grief for going 'off topic' mentioning a riddle.
I was giving an example and the reason which prompted me to ask for the toggle. I don't mind if people chime in; I hope they will; but they don't need to tell me how I can comment.
I was just clarifying that yes, it was actually about accessibility -- and the reason why I said that, I even clarified too -- because people are saying it is an easy riddle and focusing on solving the riddle vs. why some players might miss visual or audio clues.
2 is hilarious -- you are literally telling me to unsub and not return to my own topic. LOL
I am not the one going into old topics to bully the OP...
And beginning the topic doesn't give you some special ownership of people commenting on it. That's internet 101.
No one was "bullying" you. Your topic got a reply and you freaked out.
You continue to harass me for no reason. You didn't even understand my topic OR my comments.
It was fine until I pointed out the topic/my comments were/are talking about the audio and suggesting a toggle for the music. For some reason, you've been rude ever since.
I never said others can't comment. Just the opposite. So you're also now trying to flip it. I didn't "freak out" either. You began in a 2 year old topic and then didn't like something I said so you began telling me to leave my topic.
You can take your own advice, y'know. Now will you stop commenting with personally directed insults? Thanks!
I'm not telling you you are harassing me, though. I understand this is just what message threads are. People posting and other replying. And for people who are tired of a topic, unsubscribing. I really don't know why you're thinking this is just such a big deal (by your repeated insistence that everyone stop talking about it, and that your topic is only about the audio, even though you included the unrelated bit about the riddle).
You're the one who replied to my very innocuous comment about liking the riddle with saying that people should stop replying to the topic, and that it wasn't even about the riddle (even though it was).
I think you have an issue of reading emotional tone into messages that just isn't there.
The topic is about accessibility. As I flat out explained, if people cannot see or hear a clue they cannot do a riddle which relies on those clues.
I was not complaining about getting replies in my topic.
You replied by telling me to unsub to my own topic. My topic was not on my mind because I made the topic 2 years ago. I'm not going through and unsubscribe to every topic I ever made in case someone decides to take the Mickey out of it YEARS later.
That you've persisted in not only making it personal and telling me to leave (?!) but adding new insults, and still twisting everything I've said, why don't YOU unsub. I'm here in my own topic because someone might actually respond to the actual issue some day. And if not, that is okay too.
But I finally stepped in to clarify for reasons stated, and you've since turned it into a prolonged personal attack. You continue to prove that's exactly what you are doing. Now you can stop, or not, but you were entirely misplaced here from beginning to end, other than your first comment, which was simply not reading or understanding the point of the topic.
Do you want to come back 100 more times and insult me? I don't care, you're still someone who didn't understand the topic, and then lashed out instead of just accepting that you didn't understand the topic.
