Welcome to the Ghost 1.0 current issues and frequently asked questions thread. We’ll try to keep a running list of the most common questions here and some updates of the most common issues. This may not be updated as fast as the developer fixes them, so if you see an issue that’s already resolved, we’ll get this updated soon.

Regarding Founding Items (First three days gift)
If you purchase and log into the game within the first three days, you'll get some rewards in game that are founding items. This will not be obtainable after this short-term opportunity.

These rewards are associated with your account (like achievements) and they will be obtained after the tutorial and before Zone 1. This is roughly 15 minutes into the game.

You obtain a "Founder Skin" which you can equip by standing in front of a 3D printer and interacting with it. You obtain a Mechanical Frog Cannon too. These are provided in the hallway leading to the second 3D printer, just after the Ghost Logo elevator cinematic.

Regarding the "UnEpic Gift"
If you have UnEpic purchased and in your steam library, you will receive a gift. It will be obtained after the tutorial and before Zone 1. This is roughly 15 minutes into the game.

You will find a Green Dragon Whelp, which is a reference to the likewise pet in UnEpic. It's a reskinned floating drone and can be activated/deactivated as an item. Thank you for your support!

Current languages listed in the game is:

Chinese will be coming after the translation comes.
English, Spanish and Russian currently have voice acting.

Will this have multiplayer like UnEpic did?

I had terrible problems with lag in Unepic, and Ghost is much faster. It should be very hard to play. Moreover, including multiplayer needs a loooot of time (in my case) therefore, an extra year of development.

Will you release Ghost 1.0 on other platforms?
When a patch is needed on steam, it takes moments to update fixes. For this reason, Fran plans to fix all of the bugs and provide the core content on Steam first to ensure his time is spent efficiently. When the game is complete, then he plans to expand it to all of the same platforms that UnEpic is on at this time, including Playstation, XBox, WiiU, Linux, Mac, and maybe more.

Is this procedurally generated or a consistent level design?
This game, like Unepic, is a consistent level design like most metroidvania or Action Adventure games. There is no procedural generation of the map. It also has a story that is explored from the beginning to the end of the game.

Is this roguelike?
Maybe, depends on what you prefer. We have two ways to enjoy the game which you choose when you begin. Some consider Survival more difficult than Classic by nature of the mechanics listed

Classic mode:
A casual experience focused on becoming more
powerful throughout the game by farming items.

  • Story progress autosaves every room & death
  • Player chooses which items to purchase.
  • Difficulty increases gradually over the game.
  • On Death, lose unsaved items

Survival mode:
A rogue-like experience which rewards skillful play and
survival with a greater challenge & huge variety of items.

  • Story progress autosaves every room & death
  • Player receives items randomly every life
  • Difficulty increases the longer you survive
  • On death, lose all weapons/powerups.

No matter what, you progress and explore the story. The question is, what style of gameplay do you enjoy as you do it?

Is the game difficult?
The game is made to be challenging. We've made 3 difficulties which is to match the challenge to your skill as a gamer.
  • Easy - For those seeking a less stressful experience.
  • Medium - For average players to enjoy the game while experiencing challenge
  • Hard - For those who potentially scream fiercely when a hard, long fight is finally overcome!
So far in testing, we've found that people who choose a difficulty above their skill may find it frustrating. Those who pick a difficulty that suits them start to feel the satisfaction of the challenge about midway through the first zone after they explore more of the game and start to use the mechanics introduced to fit their playstyle.
