Old and poorly ported game that shutters every few seconds - not worth the money if you cannot relive the childhood days

This game should be named "Puzzlesiders" at this point , the puzzles man , some of them were clever and straight to the point some of them are too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much even for a 45 years old retired gay porn star. The Camera, the controls , the aiming ( on Keyboard and mouse ) are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ horrendus i cannot recommend to anyone to play it without a controller i just did not have one . But even though the game was on the fun side and i did complete the game .

Good game, only minor problem is the bad controls, but well you got a PC you got the tools to make them better ;)

Gotta be one of the better games from its era. As a long-time nintendo dork, this game felt derivative of the legend of zelda--though done lovingly, with reverence. But the more I think of the release dates, the more convinced I am that the inspiration must have gone both ways. For fans of the legend of zelda games, Darksiders is highly recommended for taking the ideas of puzzle-laden dungeons and giving us puzzles that are more suited for the adult mind, and for taking the first public shot at Navi.

Fantastic action adventure with hack and slash combat that is not too complex to master, with more emphasis on environmental puzzles. The story is great with War one of the 4 horsemen trying to clear his name from accusations of bringing upon the Apocalypse on Earth.
The entire Darksiders franchise is an underrated gem.

In 2012
This was the first type of its game that I had played back in the day. I couldnt believe how much fun it was to play. Brilliant sword play. Brilliant boss fights. Brilliant levels. Brilliant everything!
My whole body was pulsating with awe at the end of it. The best gaming experience of my life. Made me look at games in new light.

In 2013
I played it again in the apocalytic difficulty. It was just as much fun as it was the first time. 3 full days passed like a blip and who whole body was coursing with this energy that I couldnt believe.
I have such huge respect for this game!!

In 2024
I played it again the 3rd time. It is still a great game. I think it needs a remake not a remaster. Stygian may be one of the best boss creations ever. Dune monster but multiplied with 10. The whole mechanics comes together so beautifully. You are riding a horse, you have a gun, you have to ride in a circle, look back, point the gun at Stygian and shoot, all the while making sure you dont run into wall and you dont let Stygian outrun you. Seriously. Whoever came up with it needs to be given an award!

Definetly worth the play through, the ending is awesome. I will say the final 3 or so boss fights, seem like studio was on time crunch and are much easier than the others. Recommend though, reminds me of the old fable games.
