We have today begun testing a new facility to add a financial through which drivers earn a virtual income which is recorded in their virtual bank account automatically from the existing driver data.
The intention is to test this facility including bank statements for drivers showing their earnings.
If anyone else wants to give it a go as we further develop the company please let me know.
In the absence of a "true" economy in Fernbus I hope this is the "next best thing". Nigel
The driver logging system continues to work well and drivers are moving up ranks in the company. thank you to all those who are driving.
The virtual bank accounts are now in the final stages of testing and will soon be rolled out to all drivers.
A further new feature currently in testing is timetables for every route of which there are approaching 100 available to drive. The timetables do NOT mean that you HAVE to drive on any day or time but give players the option to change the day and time in Fernbus to match the service timetable but this is entirely option.
Fairly soon we expect to have a dispatcher able to assign duties to drivers if they wish to request them and the driver would then drive those routes (to the timetable if they wish).
Web site development is continuing and will hopefully provide a single place where all relevant information can be accessed and processes further automated.
The various information with regard to routes, results so far, etc can all be viewed on Discord at https://discord.gg/SrzZtf.
Why not come and take a look at see if you would like to drive for the company...you would be very welcome.
managed anyway
I can regenerate a link valid for 1 day if you need it?
Thanks
Driver logging and virtual bank accounts and now in full implementation and full route timetables are in close to complete, so the "testing"phase is pretty much complete ahead of the web site being developed.
7 drivers are registered and have results and all will have received first bank statements very shortly.
More drivers are welcome and will enable further development, particularly of the web site and associated automation.
Route timetables and results can all be viewed at the Discord server at https://discord.gg/thtXsp
Should you have any difficulty accessing the Discord please let me know.
Thanks and hope to see more driving soon.
Nigel
Just to let you know that TAB virtual buses now has a web site where you can see route scores that are submitted by drivers, the available routes under each hub and the results charts which show how drivers are progressing.
The intention is that the charts will be updated probably twice a week depending on the number of sets of results that drivers submit but this could become more frequent if the number of submissions warrants it.
Please feel free to visit the site, take a look around and hopefully this will give you an idea of how the project is progressing
The website is at https://nigelpet.wixsite.com/mysite
Nigel
Just s brief update that a driver has submitted a route via the web site and everything worked as expected so if you would like to give it a try visit the website and check the instructions and if you have any queries let me know. I will do my best to help.
It is important to note that I gain nothing from doing this other than allowing others to experience what I hope is some added value to their play in Fernbus.
The use of the company and associated web site is all completely free to drivers and always will be.
Thanks Nigel
Thanks
So, when uploading the results on the web site, players would need to simply add a "0" after the total number of passengers (the first figure that is required)....this will effectively add in "0 tickets sold" and the results can still be accepted in that way. Thanks
With regard to the no tickets sold issue mentioned, it appears that this is not to do with the W906 bus but that it was in Shuttle mode where ticket sales are not possible as far as I know. I assume this is intentional for shuttle mode but maybe TML could confirm. Assuming that to be the case, drivers have been advised that company routes should be driven in Flixbus mode (previously career mode)
Now that TAB is out of the testing phase and the web site is up and running, a total of 3420 passengers have been carried over 122 routes covering a total distance of 66447 kilometres.
My thanks go to all those who are currently driving and the company virtual bank account now shows a balance of 4075.88 !
Thanks again to all who have contributed to this.
Nigel
Should anyone be having difficulties reaching our Discord server the above link should work.
