This game was really good and a really fun metroidvania, albeit with some balancing issues with adds and such during boss fights, situations where you could be ping ponged between enemies and such, but that's all fine and acceptable. What isn't acceptable is to have the re-fights be excruciatingly hard by just making the boss tankier, hit for more, spam attacks, and throw out adds at a rate where you simply cannot avoid and/or block them all. I would honestly be fine with this, it's a good challenge for those that want it. BUT in order to obtain the actual ending of the game you have to defeat FIVE of them while keeping your deaths under a certain threshold or you are just locked out of a satisfying end to this game. Genuinely one of the most fundamentally flawed gimmicks I have ever seen in a game.

It is a very mediocre game. Moving through the levels feels super bland. The biomes are pretty short so you meet the bosses relatively fast. You have to move back and forth a lot and you have no fast travel in early and mid game.
There are a lot of mechanics in the game that make no sense. There is no shortcut button to the map. You can place markers on the map, but you cannot customize them. It is also really hard to aim where to put the markers with a gamepad. This whole thing feels like it was added as an afterthought? Exploring wasn't rewarding, you get a lot of consumbles, but you reach the carry cap very fast.
Similar for the talent tree. There is nothing in there that really adds to the gameplay or makes you excited for progress. I tried playing as a spellcaster, but almsot never could use my spells. They have two cast times and you never find time to really use them during boss fights. They also don't do that much damage, you are usually better off just attacking. It deals as much (probably more) damage and is less risky.
Enemies variety and AI is absolute trash. Enemies just stand there inactively. As a ranged spellcaster, by the time they noticed me, they were already almost dead. The hit boxes are also trash, which was really annyoing when I got bored with destroying everything on range and tried to play with the counter mechanic. With bosses I noticed alot, that their attacks rarely hit you if you stand inside them. Like, neither a counter proc nor did I get damage, wtf? The parry windows are also suuuuper huge, completly trivializing the game.
Story and presentation of it were not interesting at all to me. There were a few nice music pieces, but most were unmemorable. Voice acting was nothing special.

Gameplay (and everything else really) is in severe need of tightening. Nice pixel art but it looks weird sometimes.
