Here is a review discussing the update of the Jackbox Survey Scramble including two new modes: Dare and Dash since I have not see many reviews going into detail about this yet.

Additional Setting Options
All of the options that were added in this update are very nice to see and I think improve the game greatly. Many early reviews complain about Bounce regarding the pacing and one aspect of it that I specifically did not like was how much of the left side focussed on only the top few answers. Luckily, there are now settings that allow you to change the speed/pacing of the ball and the answer ranges, which I believe make the mode far more enjoyable to play. I am not sure if these changes will make people who hate bounce happy, but if you don't like Bounce with the default settings I think it is worth experimenting with them to see for yourself. Playing Squares with a scrambled order for the rankings also allows for more replayability and being able to play Hilo longer is neat as well.

Dare
I like the mechanics that Dare attempts to use, but I feel like it mostly fails in execution. As far as I know when choosing to dare higher or lower it is almost always better for you to dare lower because everyone your playing with likely knows an answer in the top 10, and therefore makes submitting a high answer easy no matter what. The game ultimately comes down to always submitting lower answers unless someone decides to dare higher for no personal gain on their part. This wouldn't be that bad by itself, but there is also the fact that most of the players are not doing much in this mode. Each player only gets to type two answers and one player types at a time, so it is essentially just worser hilo. Every time a player submits an answer, the other players get to guess whether it is higher or lower on the list. This mechanic is an interesting idea that has potential, but it is not entertaining enough on its own. This mode is very similar to another Jackbox game (Guesspionage), but in that game you can also double down by guessing much higher or much lower, so I wish something similar to that was here to make this decision more interesting. In the final round you get to try and predict the specific number of your answer, which I think is really cool and entertaining, but it is unfortunate that this is only for the final round. If the other players could guess the specific number to each answer and receive more points for being close on top of deciding whether it is higher or lower, I could see this mode being far more enjoyable and unique.

Dash
I think this mode is fine for what it is, but it is probably not for me personally. It feels like random guessing and failing until one player ends up winning the race likely through luck. The players in the lead get significantly handicapped due to receiving far more options as possible answers from other players, which allows for everyone else to catch up easily. This iffy experience could also just be a skill issue for my group and maybe we just needed more time to tap into what kinds of responses tend to be more popular to enjoy this mode. Overall, I would still consider playing this once each session to shake things up and I appreciate that the audience acts as an extra player here.

Overall, despite having negative thoughts on these new modes I still enjoy The Jackbox Survey Scramble greatly because the core modes are really solid now and there are many options to choose from to mix things up.

Dash is the best game

Absolutely outstanding release this year. All 6 game modes are incredibly fun, the soundtrack is amazing, no complaints really (apart from the U.K. and Australia servers having little-to-no answers.)
