Im kinda oldschool gamer.
The best way how I get some extra FPS always was turning off AA lowering of resolution, lowering of details is the desperate last step for me. Upscaling is just a small change.
The Graphic details are important, size of pixels? Who cares?!
Its important especialy in these days when mainstream graphic cards eat energy like crazy goat, some even more power than whole system in years before, and not so many people have energy for free.
Lowend iGPU systems becoming really sexy when you realise that you can run most of new games with some compromises low details today = highest details decade ago, old games and most of indie titles on high or max while whole computer takes just slightly over 100Wats for gaming, compare that with some 16coreCPU Geforce4080.
And AMD iGPUs did a huge progress in last generations, few more generations and 4k gaming on them will be no problem.
While I do experience occasional dips here and there, the only really problematic area for me is Ancient City. So, while it could be optimized better, it's certainly not bad. It's reasonable to say that the overall game speed was slowed down from the original in order to accommodate the shinier visuals, while continuing to maintain low input lag.
You should all update your drivers and probably monitor your CPU / RAM usage. It's likely that the problems you're all having is CPU-related.
