Question about high scores on leader boards
I recently went for a high score in AB - hard and it looks like all the people above me hit the perfect score right before the bit overflow to turn their score negative. I dont expect anything to happen and im not trying to throw shade, but where cheats used or is there some way to get that level of granularity down to a single point? I dont know if this community is really active now with such and old and niche game but im just curious.

People use cheats to top scoreboards since forever. The same way there are cheaters in speedrun scores. In a niche game like this there might be people cheating as well. Unfortunately.

But at least you get to laugh of the morons who likes to get the spotlight to show how they are the number #1 at sucking on games.

When you hit the score that's the largest 32 bit integer, the game stops adding to the score. I'm one of the people who had maxed out, I was in 10th place. But it seems that the dev deleted all the high scores that maxed out (plus more - have some screenshots to back this up.) Top of the Abarghus' Domain - Hard leaderboard is wide open now, who's going to max out first?

Dude, congrats. I thought this was a s##tpost but it is not. You should make a thread about your achievement. Did you take a pic of your run's stats?

"again" - did you have max score before the reset? I've uploaded some leaderboard pics I took after my max run on October 1st 2020. You had a mid 700 score at the time. I would guess that took about 10 or 11 times down the 1000 floors.... it took me over 17 times to max out. I'll make a thread about my run one of these days

edit: LOL, I didn't realize you were the original poster

yeah in 2021 I was working up to the impossible mission achievement and i realized that getting max score on hard wouldnt be that much harder (just requiring more patience lol). but there was a guide talking about max high scores in transdimensional leakage written in 2013

It talked about scores going negative so i purposefully threw the run right before i hit max. Then i saw the 10 people above me on the scoreboard with perfect max score which spurred my original post lol.

Lol @ throwing the run right before the max score, that's wild. Seems like the "negative score" might have been fixed by the developer after that post. Your pic shows the max score, so does mine below.

Crazy how much more efficient your run was, mine took an hour and a half longer with 14k more kills. Bonus blocks were over 900k when I quit. I had only 9 fairies, you had 18. I kinda forgot the details of the game, but the guide on Fandom says the fairies increase your points, so I guess that's the difference?

Fairy: Increases the amount of points you get from killing enemies and collecting treasure. Is extremely rare and can only be found by breaking breakable blocks in the walls. Available from the start of the game.
