Yeah, that part's frustrating as hell. I do give Steam keys to Patreons, so that's an option (the Steam Keys can still be used in Germany, it's just the store-front you can't access).

Is Book 2 going to be a paid DLC? I can currently play Book 2 and I have not opted in any betas. I wanted confirm this since Book 2 has its own storefront.

Cyborg81; I enjoy having players play and give feedback as the game is being developed; since this is a one-man passion project, I largely use the energy I get from watching players play and enjoy to help keep me going.

I chose to leave Book 2 available for Book 1 purchasers during development; I'll be shifting it back onto the Beta path shortly (to avoid confusion like this), but it'll continue to be available on the Beta branch without a password for anyone who has Book 1. If you decide you don't want to buy Book 2 once it's done, the only parts you'll miss out on are achievements and collectible cards.

It's unfortunately a case of the account being tied to Germany.

As an option, Love of Magic Patreons can get Steam keys, and those will work in Germany (it's the storefront that's locked, not the keys): https://www.patreon.com/droidproductions

It was confusing people who wanted to know why Book 2 wasn't done, and why the game wasn't labelled as EA if it was still being developed.

You can still access it by enabling the Beta path. Go to library, right click on the game, select Properties, then enable Beta Access (no access code needed).

Something appears to be going strangely for some players. The app is still there, but it's missing from the launcher. You can go here:
E:\steam\steamapps\common\Love of Magic\Book2
(assuming your steam root is E:\steam) and launch the EXE directly.

I'll go debug and see why the launcher isn't cooperating.

One thing to make sure of is that if you go to the library, it should say
Love Of Magic [BETA]

If it doesn't you need to right-click properties, select Beta and enable the Beta branch. There's no password needed.
