Upsides:
- Addicting
- Variation in how to handle the ship-breaking
- Nice visuals for the type of game
- Some challenging elements where you need to use your brain, but no to difficult
- Runs smooth on a mid-range PC, outside of effect which have a lot of visual effect (e.g. large explosions).
- Addicting (for a while)
- There are not many games with this theme, so it's a nice addition

Downsides:
- Story is OK, some nice humour but not really engaging. It is more on the background of the game.
- Some survival elements, but not to extreme. Can be a positive or negative depending on your view.
- Has a decent ship variation, but it will get repetitive really quick. After 10 hours or so you have seen 80% of the ships and challenges. The next hours is how to optimise your breakdown.
- Pacing could be slower. You get bombarded with different types, challenges and other information is the first 5 hours. And then you have seen the majority of the mechanics. The game could profit to have a more spaced-out progression, as the later levels lack the progression you have at the beginning. It also prevents the feeling of the game becoming repetitive to quickly.

Conclusion:
Its a nice little game, addicting to get into, but once you have seen everything it (there are a limited number of different ships), it will get repetitive really quickly. For some that's OK, but for some the repetitiveness may come to quickly, but in my opinion, there is just enough variation for how much the game costs, as I got all achievements (and nearly all upgrades) under 30 hours. If you like these kind of games and get engrossed into a game for a few days, I can definitely recommend this game.

It's a decent game to have while you're listening to podcasts or essays or whatever. Don't play the "No Revival" difficulty, the game can be inconsistent and will screw you over in a situation where you thought you were safe. The story is absolutely the worst part of this game and being forced to listen to the audio track things is kinda like stubbing your toe, it's not going to ruin your day but every time it happens it's annoying. This is a great idea and if they make another like this I'm likely to look into it as long as they fix the inconsistent bits. Specifically, the laser will sometimes interact with objects they touch even if the end result of the cut doesn't involve that piece, sometimes you blow yourself up after spending 30 hours on a No Revival play through and it's really frustrating.

If you are into games like House Flipper, Viscera, and other tidying up games, I would recommend to play this as well.

You get your dose of dopamine when you fully salvage a ship right down to its base structure leaving nothing but empty space.

The only cons would be if you are not used to zero-g navigation, you may get motion sickness while playing the game, but other than that, the story, progression and gameplay mechanics are well worth the price. Got this game to 100% as well in roughly 40 hours.

10/10 would sacrifice myself again to the Furnace God
