This game is simply perfect. After 100 hours of play, I didn’t encounter a single bug. The character stories are excellently written, with an abundance of dialogue. Some parts are humorous, while others carry a deep sense of drama.

While the game can be “completed” in just a few hours, reaching the true ending requires many more hours of gameplay. Just by unlocking achievements, we uncover a significant portion of the story, revealing the backstories of each character. Most of them are incredibly charismatic in their own unique ways.

The game strikes a perfect balance between intense action and a captivating narrative. Yes, you'll find yourself alternating between frenetic gameplay, pauses, and story development in a seamless cycle.

Honestly, I’ve never been a fan of rouge-like/rouge-lite games where you have to start over from scratch, but Hades has it all.

In short, it's a MASTERPIECE.

Certainly an awesome roguelite, and one that I would rate highly myself, but this has to be one of the most overrated games I've ever laid my hands on. Just by taking the reviews into account, which Hades has nearly endless number of, you can be persuaded into thinking it's inarguably a 10/10 title. And while the game at its peak might as well be exactly that, I can't, in good conscience, share the sentiment about the entire experience, even though I still consider this game to be at the very least good.

The reasoning behind this is that I always end up comparing Hades to The Binding of Isaac, and while: the art style, music, characters and story are up to personal preference, there is one very important thing that puts Hades behind by a significant amount: the gameplay. Comparing anything from the same genre to TBoI in general is almost unfair but to make it more clear... Peak of Isaac is anytime you decide to play the game even if it's after 300h (maybe except for torturing yourself with specific characters), and peak of Hades is going from 5h once you've learned the game to like 20h, after that it's only getting worse all the way to a ~7/10 game.

Which is still good but here's the problem with the title... it has nearly zero replayability, which for this genre is unacceptable. I don't know, it would be equal to developing a rhythm game with one song or a Dark Souls game with the ability to save whenever and wherever you want, it doesn't feel right.
Every single run in Hades is the same: same 4 floors and only 4 bosses with some alternative versions (sometimes 5 if the RNG allows you to). It doesn't help that the average run is 20 minutes long after unlocking the buffs. Besides, the builds don't offer enough variety, only weapons do (but the selection isn't anything to be awed by). For comparison, in Isaac for runs to feel even slightly repetitive you need to reach at the very least 100 hours.

I am going to say the same thing as everyone else, this is the best roguelite game out there. Absolutely phenomenal, repeating runs don't get boring and the story keeps you invested.
