This ain't a fulfilling experience that'll eat dozens of hours. This is just another little VR toybox. That being said, it's a really fun one to mess around in. Voice recognition is the real star here. Mixing spells is a fun introduction and natural magic is a nifty, if inconsistent, gesture control experience, but the list of sentences Waltz can recognize is almost absurd. Skully's responsiveness is a marketing gimmick, but still a highlight. There's rooms beyond the initial room, but none of them are as entertaining as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in the tower. The gauntlet at the end of the courtyard is neat as a firing range for your magic tricks, but I can't see myself clearing every repetitive level. Game might not be worth twenty bucks to you. I still think there's a $20 experience to be had here. Get a different toybox like H3VR first, but don't pass this up forever.

The game is good. Especially for one of the earlier VR games, and it still gets free updates to this day. Teleport movement by default, but easily switched to trackpads/twin-stick and snap/smooth turning. This game does have a sort of (entirely optional) story dungeon thing to go through, but honestly, the better part of the game is the sandbox that is the tower.

The only reason I'm recommending against it is if you have a "bri'ish" accent. Particularly midlands and adjacent accents. The game doesn't seem to recognise them very well, I frequently had to repeat myself several times. Occasionally it would never pick up on what I was actually saying no matter how clearly I spoke.

In summary, great game, get it if you have an american or stereotypical posh british accent. Otherwise the voice recognition might just annoy you.
