Title screen
- For the screen that appears when launching Splatoon on the Wii U, see splash screen.
The title screen is the first screen that players see when launching a Splatoon series game, as long as they have completed each game's respective tutorial. The title screens always consist of the game's logo, version number, copyright information, and a prompt telling the player to press and together. Additionally, in Splatoon 3, a small squid icon appears under the version number if the player has purchased the Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass. There are no additions to the Splatoon 2 title screen if the player has purchased Octo Expansion.

Trivia
- The Final Fest title screen in Splatoon 2, the title screen seen when entering Splatsville, Inkopolis Plaza, and Inkopolis Square for the first time in Splatoon 3, and the Grand Festival title screens in Splatoon 3 are the only title screens to have the game's logo in a location other than the upper left corner.
- The SpringFest day 1 Inkopolis Square title screen in Splatoon 3 is the only Special Splatfest to feature a different camera angle than what is used for regular Splatfests.
Notes
- ↑ Prior to version 5.0.0, it was possible to see a version of this title screen with no box (provided that the player had not met the requirements to obtain any promotional gear such as the Octo Expansion purchase bonus). As version 5.0.0 introduced the Splatfest Tee Replica, which comes in the same box and is immediately provided to all players, it is now no longer possible to see this variant of the title screen.
- ↑ Between versions 2.0.0 and 2.0.1, a bug caused the Great Zapfish to not appear on Deca Tower, resulting in all players seeing this screen regardless of whether or not they had completed Octo Canyon.
