Deep Cut's Theme is a song in Splatoon 3. It is played during cutscenes involving Deep Cut in Return of the Mammalians.

Description

Deep Cut's Theme uses heavy synth for its melodies while using more traditional percussion and backing. After an introductory section, the melody from Anarchy Splatcast is used for the main section using a different synth. Throughout the song, there appears to be a strong usage of samples inbetween the lead melody.

Our Bad

After Deep Cut appears at the entrance of the Alterna Space Center in Return of the Mammalians, Our Bad plays as they apologize to the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Our Bad uses a very minimal arrangement, using traditional percussion while the melody from the intro of Deep Cut's Theme is played on a string instrument.

Go, Agent 3!

As Deep Cut appears after Mr. Grizz escapes aboard the Spirit Lifter during Return of the Mammalians to offer their help, Go, Agent 3! plays during the following cutscene. As Frye creates a tornado using her eels, an electronic beat with the melody of Deep Cut's Theme plays. As Shiver offers up Master Mega for Agent 3 to ride on, a drum roll plays, followed by the intro melody of Anarchy Poisons (Bird Mix) is chanted by a deep and distorted voice. Lastly, as Big Man hands Agent 3 a spacesuit, an airhorn sounds. This first part of the song is later referenced in the intro of Calamari Inkantation 3MIX. Afterwards, a more energetic melody using largely the same instrumentation plays as Agent 3 rides up the tornado. The song ends with a similar drum roll as the one from its intro.
