- Type locality: Kenya. Lamu District, Mambosasa, ± 10 km East of Witu, semi-deciduous swamp forest; 15m.
- Note: the locality given by Bally of Mambosasa as 'S. of Bura' is erroneous (Carter & R.-Smith 1988: 498).
