Chiloglanis anoterus Crass, 1960

  • Holotype: AMG P1157 [ex NMP 1410, Natal Parks Board 55/1].
  • Paratypes: Natal Parks Board 55/2-21 (20).

Type locality: Upper Pivaan River, Pongola River system, 27°30"S, 30°28'E [1], Natal, South Africa, elevation about 4600 feet.

Etymology: The specific name, from the Grek anoteri (= higher) refers to the habitat of this species, which occurs at higher altitudes than the other Natal species of Chiloglanis.
