I had read that the one thing you had to "sacrifice" when you switched over to Qt was spell checking. AFAICS, the Sonnet framework scratches that itch: https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/sonnet
FYI, not the submitter, but I am currently running 0.3.1116 on a Windows 10 machine and I haven't had a crash yet. That said, I don't write Greek (these days).

Ouch! In this case, the problem (^KD not saving the file before closing) is solved... Pretend that I haven't said anything! 😬
It still happens here. But the file was saved before the buffer was emptied. Hmm...
