Brizo FoodMetrics

Pros: Great market coverage of both the Canadian and US markets;
Many filters to play with data and to create segments (by province/state, chain size, food type, review score, etc.);
Great Dashboard view with graphics you can click for fast drill downs;
Responsiveness of our Account Manager.

Cons: Not possible to save historical data to view fluctuations year over year;
Do not have POS data (sales numbers);
Inclusion & exclusion filters can't be used simultaneously (e.g.: restaurants selling on X marketplace, but not on Y) - you need some manual calculations.

Overall: Possibly the best platform to pull restaurant industry data in Canada and/or USA. The Dashboard view provides a great summary. It's easy to use and even if the data is not 100% accurate, is gives us a great idea of the state of the industry. I recommend.

Pros: Great team and support. Easy to use filters and the files export pretty quickly. They also have new filters that they're releasing that will be really helpful for our business.

Cons: Like all restaurant data, some of the contact information is outdated and needs to be cleaned.

Overall: We've had a better experience with Brizo than the previous database we were using. Their team is great, and the data so far has been good. Unlimited downloads has allowed us the flexibility to test and grow quickly which has been extremely beneficial.

Pros: Easy and granular searching for restaurants by geo, tech stack, personnel and locations. Ability to search by Independents, multi-units and also the ability to search contacts by corporation or store location is very helpful.

Cons: Overall we love Brizo, would like to be able to download more than 10k at a time, but otherwise it is great.

Overall: Overall if your sales depend on you being able to find restaurant locations and the relevant contacts to connect with, then Brizo is a great solution!

Pros: Comprehensive restaurant data for independent and chain restaurants! Huge amount of data points with very high accuracy. Fantastic customer support and acct mgmt.

Cons: UI can be a bit clunky to work with at times (especially list views and selecting fields to view).

Overall: Brizo is a wonderful tool and we are very happy with the company and service overall. It is difficult to find one sole source for quality restaurant data and Brizo has nailed it.

Pros: We love the data abundance coupled with the ability to target the exact type of restaurant we need to power our telemarketing program. The support team is fantastic. The software is easy to use.

Cons: Sometimes duplicates can be a bit tricky to eradicate. That said the support team is amazing at helping you through how to fix it.

Overall: Brizo is very responsive. Even with our dupes issue, the support team was right there to help. Knowing you never have telemarketers reusing old leads as you have data abundance, specifically about every type of restaurant in North America you may be looking for, makes it invaluable to maximizing sales.

Pros: I think Brizo FoodMetrics has very comprehensive data for the restaurant industry, it provided a very broader view of different metrics for the industry.

Cons: As I dig deeper into the data, I think a lot of data is not "clean". Eg, duplicated data, invalid URL, etc.

Overall: I like the product, but I am not sure the value it brings is worth the price I pay. At the moment I think I have more toward not renewing the product after the term ended.

Cons: I know this is not a CRM on contact level details, but adding more would be AMAZING!

Pros: Easy to use and navigate the tool.
Support is excellent.
Information is reliable and updated monthly.

Cons: Contact info can be limited. I know this is something they're working on improving.

Overall: Excellent experience with Brizo overall 9/10. Brad was a huge help - he helped trained me and our entire sales team.

Pros: A ton of great data that helps our team sell better. There are so much great info and it just keep getting better. In addition, the team is helpful when I have questions.

Cons: The UX could be easier, some filter are confusing to find.

Overall: A great product is vital to the sales team success. I am excited to see more data around ingredient trends. That would be very useful for our category management team.

Pros: A great analysis tool to help us understand our target market. Far more accurate than any other web searching tool, so we can produce a list of target customers that our sales team can have confidence in.

Cons: Some missing data and inaccuracies, but not on any critical data points.

Overall: Would highly recommend this tool for anyone looking to sell to the restaurant sector. It has helped us immensely where finding leads otherwise is extremely difficult with existing tools such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Rocket reach etc.
